I feel for Ironcane haha, its gotta be difficult to teach someone who is so erratic when he plays, makes it difficult to hone down where he could improve apart from teaching him to charge step. If Diddy does one thing consistently, it's wild random play.

Another thing I noticed is that you need to learn to combo a bit better since you don't properly combo your blast cards to combo extend, but if you can learn ki charge and side step combos you should do better
fun fact you can also change how your practicing to change what your practicing for example if you guys use basic characters and fight youll be most focusing on your ability to read and movement techniques then scalling up the difficulty by slowly making the fights more and more one sided
You should really try to switch to a character that will deal more damage since sometimes you stay in with type disadvantaged or you don't swap to keep combos going like if you switch to janemba to draw and extra card and then you can extend the combo and don't be afraid to dodge from long range to try and get a pv too

Hey, after a quick attack, he said that if you blast right after, it forces the enemy to vanish, but that's not true. They can either vanish or rush, and knowing how fast people get a rush, even after the db chance down, it's not really worth the risk to blast, but just tackle instead, since the chance of them seeing that you tackled right then is quite low since they're expecting a full attack, and if they do counter it, then just vanish that.
I did forget to mention that which is important, but since we were doing friendlies rush was off the table. Early game and post rush's quick attack into blast is safe but you do have to be mindful for it absolutely.
