By far the easiest explanation I’ve seen of the magic circle, thank you

I’m left handed. I can follow a right handed person without a problem. I’m glad I came across your video. You’re easier than any others I’ve seen. Now to go back and delete the right handed videos instructing the same thing! I’ll take a look at your other videos. Then most likely delete more right handed videos I saved. It’s nice to be doing the same thing the instructor is doing instead of doing it backwards, which is what I’ve been doing! Thank you 😊🧶

❤️😊 Thank you. Just want to add that I’ve done 2 circles so far. The second one I did is a lot bigger. I’m making them to put between my stored pots/pans and glass Pyrex. So excited and really love crocheting. Thank you so much for the left handed videos. Wish I could post pictures to show you.

I found my Magic Circles would unravel if I forgot to weave in the end. I learned the double Magic circle and now I have no problem. The tutorial is easy to follow . I am teaching this method to my students now.

Do I understand that we leave our finishing tail (after weaving in as you show) as we’ll cover it when we start turning the circles into squares?

Hi, Kathryn Borbacs! Absolutely. Yes. Unless of course you want to sew it in. I leave mine, and snip them after turning them into a square. Choice is yours! xx

Am I doing something wrong? I've done 2 of these now and both times they've curdled (not sure what the technical term is but they kind of bunch up like what you said at the end of the video). I've tried doing around with just one double crochet in each stitch but it doesn't really help. If anyone knows what I can do to fix it/what I may be doing wrong, pls let me know! :) I'm pretty new to crocheting and I found this video to have the best explanation of doing a magic circle and making a crocheted circle!!

Couldnt i tie the tail to the working yarn to secure it better?

I pulled my acrylic yarn and it's not letting me pull further and there is still a BIG hole in the middle what did I do wrong?

Try doing a chain 3 and slip stitching it to form a ring. Then do your double crochet into the center of the ring.😁
