As someone recently diagnosed with imposter syndrome, don’t let thoughts of negativity of not being good enough overfill you, think (if you can) about the things you can do well, even if you thing others can do it with ease, you can do stuff! and as someone with imposter syndrome, sometimes the simple “you are worth something!” Doesn’t help. And what I will say may or may not help you. But I hope that one day you can overcome it.

Very well done. Clearly delivered, with “take home messages” for all of us to consider. Best 8 minutes I’ve spent in a while.

Meredith thank you so much for this! I am so in the throws of imposter syndrome. I can relate so much to your experiences and even demeanor and how it affects how I see myself in the world. Would love to connect with you on further techniques of how you've overcome it.

None of the insecurities she mentioned even crossed my mind- not to put emphasis on physical features- but it highlights how media can influence young boys and girls. I was focused on her speech and ideas first off

Had a female boss. Complains about ownership of abilities in the workplace for women. I clicked this video because I want to know more about imposter syndrome overall. I get that you have feelings based around those things, but I was hoping this was going to be less about being a woman and more about being a human.

When is it imposter syndrome and when is it in fact false modesty?

    • @letsgoBrandon204

If it's false modesty you'll just get a half-arsed dismissal (maybe with a subtle smile). With impostor syndrome you'd get looks of incredulity and frowns.
Compliments really are confusing. They sound like people lying, trying to be nice.

Horrible speech, there are far better talks on this subject.
