From the family failure to the family success. Dropped out of college and technical school at least 3-4 times. Tried the military (failed that too, honorable discharge). Luckily, my uncle left me his insurance money to go to school on when he died. Eventually it caught, and at 23 I started a 2 year degree program which I finished (it got me a job), then I went to an adult learner's college for a few years and earned two Bachelor of Science degrees (Laboratory Science and Electronics Engineering Technology). After which I applied for the U.S Foreign Service and was accepted (at age 28) into the Diplomatic Security Service. I did 20 years as an 'International Man of Mystery'. The family went from treating me as the failure troll in the basement to the family success they all were envious of (and trying to backstab). Never stop trying. We take longer to get traction. Once we do we are unstoppable juggernauts, engines in motion. No one can match us. Believe in your own mojo, and Ni will lead the way. Find your passion and the rest will align and follow.

I was drawn to writing about politics/philosophy in my mid 20s but I didn’t know enough or have enough life experience to do it then. I’m now doing it in my spare time in my mid 50s. I’ve always been drawn to art and music too. And bodybuilding and Hifi. Too many options as Sylvia Plath lamented.
It can be really hard to find a satisfying job as an INFJ. Often we have to take work just to pay the bills. In that case, work on your passion in your spare time.

Would you ever be a professor- like for philosophy or something like it? You have the style.

It’s interesting since for the longest time i’ve known what I wanted in life outside of work but have struggled in corporate with not feeling like my strengths are being utilized. The work feels meaningless. I’ve been attracted to literature and health but nothing came of it.

I find that any human-service/health-related field is great for enjoying the work enough to earn money, but need to block out all the nasty co-workers, AND a hobby or volunteer work that we can really dedicate ourselves to and believe in n

in this evil, perverse, selfish and greedy society you shouldn't move a finger. do something superficial to earn the money for a living and that is it! Death and putrefaction waiting for us all...sooner or later, so all the progress of humanity is in vain. This is not life, its a misery and sentence
