Love it! You are so courageous just putting yourself out there creatively and safely ofc and meeting new people 😊👌 also astounded that you’ve never stayed in a hostel! But can totally see the logic 😊
Digital Nomad Girl 👧 you should! Maybe one of those cool hip famous Berlin ones that resemble co work/co living spaces and or maybe compare it with a more typical budget hostel? X
I have been in my Bangkok hostel for 6 days now and have met so many people from all over the world already. Because I am traveling open-ended as a lifestyle and not doing the normal touristy stuff, trying to jam everything into each day, I have been able to go do cool things and short day trips with many people. I've met a number of locals who I am planning to travel to different areas with. Most recently, last night, I met a local girl from bkk, named Donut, (yes like the food, lol). She is a history buff and wants to take me to the old capital city to see some temples, parks and gardens. I didn't realize the temples in bkk are replicas, so now I get to see the real ones. She will be an excellent guide and knows the area, as well as cheapest ways to travel around here. I purposely didn't plan a single thing or even book accommodation until I arrived, and already my trip has evolved into an awesome, unplanned, unique cultural experience that I could not have researched or planned for! This is how I will approach each new destination and country. It's impossible to see everything. But this way, my journey will reveal itself organically as I go and will provide me with so many new friends, experiences and adventures! Cheers!
Wow that sounds like a really amazing trip. I would love to meet more locals - that's always something I'm not very good at. It can definitely transform your trip finding a local person who is excited to show you their city. Sounds like you've got it sussed!
My go-to strategy is basically what your friend does: Step 1: walk into hostel dorm Step 2: smile and say hi Step 3: have 5 new best friends for 24h 🤣 I liked your tips, will come back to them when I go somewhere for longer and I'm not living in a compound 😉
I feel like you are the queen of building networks of amazing people all over the world. Forever admired you for this. It really is the most special thing about travel for me. PS in completely other news I LIVE for that top on you! xoxo
Hehe - thanks girl! The thrifting in America was GOOOOOD so my wardrobe is fully refreshed! Always excited to arrive in a new place and wonder who my new friends are going to be :) It's so full of opportunity.
Hello! Estonia is definitely doing some really cool stuff - it's nice to see a country innovating and trying to get ahead. I don't know enough about it to do a video on it but I'd love to interview an expert :)
Great tips! I think it’s important to push ourselves out of comfort zones , I always have the best time making new friends in different countries- cities that I’m visiting! 🤗
A very wise older gentleman once told me when traveling don't count your miles but your friends you made along the way. These are some great tips, and I have learned it is best to do what you feel natural in doing. It is great to connect with those with a common interest, and work share spots is a great one as well as meetups around the world. i also go to many conventions. I work as a speaker and a writer, and yes, I also have some courses on Udemy. Keep up the great work.
That's such wonderful advice - and it's definitely been our experience. The main thing we love about travel is all the amazing friends we've made. Very thankful!! I bet being on stage is a great way to make friends - everyone knows who you are so it's an easy conversation starter!! Haha
The place we stayed was AMAZING! If you check out my Vlogmas where we see wild manatees (it's about day 5 I think?) then I have a link to the airbnb in there. I'd highly recommend it.

Hello. Love your videos! What are your thoughts on e-residency? Have you done a video for Estonia’s residency program for digital nomads?

Wish I could live a life like this..:-)
You can!
you could do a trial and do it for a short time, or start a passive income business and then live abroad some of the time....
@@theChrisCroft thank you for the reply. I wanted to how to start. I am not a big fan of travelling. I want to work from home and be my own boss...
@@praveennambiarashmira did you see Louise's video on 50 ways you can easily get started? It's amazing!
