    Well said. The + 1/2 leg really makes the difference. A normal good morning will be more about the lower back.
    Unloaded single leg RDLs ('good mornings') feel really good for balance/coordination. I don't get the hype about loaded single leg RDLs. Once there's a bit of fatigue in the back, form just goes out the window and also the hip extension you mentioned is not the same. It's feels too natural to move the weight so the hip stays in place.

      Loaded hip hinge/extensions are a delicate game, for sure.
