Interesting design how the rear window appears to be regular non-ballistic glass to save on weight and allow the servo system to work, with the armoured panneling and ballistic glass panel in the interior.
Its actually a "normal" solution, it saves weight by not armouring the last 1/4 of a vehicle. The same goes in the engine compartment, its not protected either, only the cooler and the batteries will be individually protected.

How come making it bulletproof makes sirens and emergency lights legal? I see that consistently in armoured vehicles. Yet, in many countries they are illegal
They are still illegal but they company or person that owns the car must have licend personel and licenses to use it. If i have it right they have to ask permission from the cops at the time for using it.

What you need to use door handles to close the rear door. Was this some kind of strip out base model whiteout door closing buttons. I mean even ten years old base trim ghost has those for rear doors.

I would imagine it is an issue of weight and performance more than an issue of money. Armor adds a lot of weight. For example a lexus 570 unarmored weighs in at roughly 2,700 kg or 6,000 lbs yet armored it comes in at 4,900 kg or 10,780 lbs for vr10.
@@stevenerickson1855 I accept your reasoning but I guess if I was going to be armoring my vehicle, safety would take priority over performance. Throw in an extra supercharger or turbo if you have to to compensate.
RR have buttons you press and the doors close so you never have to lift a finger like a commoner. So now it's armoured and obiviously the doors are heavier, the buttons no longer work?
