Awesome once again!!!
I'd love to see some f22s from Okinawa getting in this ....yes there would need to be a air refueling
AIM-260 fully replaced production will be 2026 it should be deployed later this year the USAF says the program is finishing testing
18:44 lol yeah but can they carry The YJ-12's like The J-16?? Would love to see a few "J-15/16" with YJ-12's in similar scenario ;)
22:58 Lmfao😂🤣 Just have some air-air nukes standing by!😆👍
36:23 That's fair I suppose. Lol even tho I believe its *Closer to 120 miles or 193 kilometers.😁✌
2:43 & 46:51 Perhaps have them attack from different directions and in couple smaller waves as well, I mean that's Two Reasons to try🤔👍
No worries cap, vid enough to compensate
@@Mystical922 wow, what jets will carry these? Are these the next gen aims? Thanks for the info!
The thing that makes this channel so special imo is how Cap deals with recommendations, how he actually reads the comments interacts with his community and improve after every single video.👍
I know right! He is one of the most active people in the comments, he even said he would try my recommendation for a fleet scenario about a week ago. A 2v2 of past and future carrier groups against each other.
This is a most excellent observation. One of the best yootoob comments I've read for a while. And very accurate. I do get the impression that "valued humans" is meant and not just a nice sounding catchphrase.
Edit: I say that as someone who personally only ever uses a phrase like "valued humans" in a deeply sarcastic tone of voice.
In fairness, it is somewhat symbiotic, because a lot of the suggestions are good!
It's always nice when the Commanding Officer listens to input from the troops. CAP does a fantastic job. I'm just starting in DCS and this channel is a gold mine.
I think this is his full time job making vedios for us so grateful
I think having the F-35s with murder load was the difference in the bombers not making it to firing range. Last time the F-35s quickly ran out of missiles before they were able to take everything out. We had to wait for the land launched planes coming from Japan to finish off the bombers.
I totally agree. The beast mode/murder hornet combination literally has dozens of more missiles in the air at one time compared to the last video.
Yeah that was the difference, they were also able to get up really quickly as well
Agreed.
Started typing the same thing in a comment then thought I’d better scroll down I’m sure many noticed the same thing lol
Yes fair point. Well spotted.
At this point we have seen two foiled attempts at attacking the7th fleet. It would be interesting to see how a retaliatory strike against Chinese military targets would fare.
Package will be delivered to Hainan naval base once it starts. Pacific will go Defcon all the way from San Dog to Alaska.
Yanks wont hit military, they will hit power, water, dams, big bridges, all the infastructure that hurts a country.
There ya go!!! Awesome idesa
In a real life scenario, the US and her allies could use all of its cargo fleet and heavy bombers to deliver cruise missiles, MALDs, and other stand-off weapons which can easily saturate Chinese SAMs without being sacrificed.
Although seeing another scenario in DCS would be very interesting.
@@misha791 San Dog?
Cap, until DCS gets functional subs in game, the results will always be way off reality. Regardless, I'm not even a DCS player, but I love watching your scenarios play out. Kudos to your human pilots as well.
Same for shore defenses, best dcs has is 1970's short range ASM's. If even Ukraine can sink a missile destroyer with a single battery, any country with a sizable military would definitely have the capability to defend agaisnt a battle group nearing their shore.
@@92HazelMocha Yeah I wish our ASM's were more up-to-date. To speak on Ukraine, Ukraine has also been effectively trained at conducting asymmetrical warfare to fight against a much larger foe like Russia. It's not a sizeable military that makes a difference, its a well trained one. Russia had/has a sizeable military and they're a laughing stock rn.
@@Barnes6083 I just meant that Ukraine has never been known for its naval/anti-ship capabilities and has always been a smaller military. So if they're capable of sinking the Moskva with what they had on hand after Russia had already invaded, it stands to reason that countries with much larger and more sophisticated militaries would have far more capacity to do so, quality of soldiers and leadership not withstanding.
Get dcs, it's really cool
@@Barnes6083 Last time I checked Ukraine was the one crying for some more money and military. Lol. And when was the last time Ukraine actually take back some land? Whatever that asymmetrical warfare is it ain't keeping their casualty low nor keeping their ground. So, I guess laughing at Russia is some kind of self therapy for yall. Lmao. All the "successful" destruction of Russian ammo dump and bridges yet the one keep "strategically" falling back is Ukraine, kinda weird. But ok. Keep "winning" Lol. Soon, you gonna encircle Moscow with that "asymmetrical" warfare shit. Lmao.
Chinese missiles running out of batteries before hitting is probably the funniest thing I've seen on this channel (might be the most realistic too :P)
anti-carrier missiles are hypersonic ballistic glider, and it doesn't run on batteries. cheers
@@georgegu3374 If it has a guidance computer then it has batteries. Otherwise the carrier can just move out of the way or the missile just gets intercepted if it can't maneuver.
The Chinese unfortunately are world leaders in manufacturing batteries. Reality is that many Americans are anticipated to die in any conflict with China over Taiwan. And this was based on old RAND corp analysis 6 years ago which predict US defeat in a Taiwan war scenario and stalemate in South China Sea scenario.
The advent of newer and better Chinese weapons, missiles, stealth fighters and drones/ mass produced hypersonic missiles render this balance even more in favor of China.
What isn't published to the American public is the fact that the Chinese will use initially biochemical and then later nuclear weapons on American cities- particularly NYC, SF, San Diego, Honolulu/Pearl Harbor etc. It is for this reason Japan is likely to also stay strictly neutral.
The university students in China noted the inability of the US to deal with COVID and have many ideas regarding further weaponization of real biological weapons/viruses to decimate the American population.
The recent sale of weapons to Taiwan have in fact galvanized some to start offering technology, tactics and materiel for staging biochemical strikes on US soil for foreign extremists. Tactics like dispersible aerosolizable bioweapons to be released at domestic airport waiting areas to maximize spread to multiple US cities and states, while ensuring adequate latency period to minimize detection and population death. This is terrible news for Humanity and utterly preventable if we had respected each other's borders: China respecting the US annexation of their breakaway separatist Confederate States of America, while the US respects China's breakaway Republic of China (what we call Taiwan)
@@slslbbn4096 ok bot. China itself is still in lockdown after almost 3 years of Covid due to incompetent policies, so I'd say the whole world handled it better than China. Their military is good at barking but nothing else. Their battery tech is hardly the best, their engines haven't even reached Russian levels of performance let alone America's PW engines used in 5th gen planes. And bio/chem weapons is a two way street, the hypersonics China has won't make any difference because their range isn't intercontinental. At any given time US has more carriers than China has ever even seen in it's lifetime. It's funny to imagine anyone would think China would win in that situation. Their J-20 "stealth" is another joke they've tried to pass on as comparable to American tech, in an all out war the F-15/F-35 combo will do far more damage than J-20/J-11s with their inferior radar. Just because China claims capabilities on paper doesn't make it true. Hardly any country buys their military equipment and that says a lot about it.
@@Zen-lf7zr high capacity batteries are designated for power batteries on like ev cars. computers on missiles are low energy mcus, power consumption is almost negligible.
and guess where are the largest power battery manufacturers?
It always seems at least one human can't seem to follow instructions. Turn back before you get in range and go west... continues into area after a specific reminder, then goes North. AI is not the only one that can't figure it out.
Grim Reapers after all yo!
lol yup
Yeah all those PL-15s just being launched at 2 planes and most of them missing them and other targets just ruined it all.
Love these relatively realistic scenarios hope you keep them coming
Highly agree! I love seeing semi actual good simulation of these things at a non-governmental level that is actually so top quality gov's might be watching too haha
Hey guys love these videos keep them up! A couple of quick things: the only Marine Corps Aviation assets that are permanently stationed on Okinawa are two Osprey squadrons (262 and 265) so there are no JSF's stationed there. The two VMFA squadrons in Japan (121 and 242) are stationed up in Iwakuni so they could be on an LHA/LHD if it was sailing with the fleet. The 40 JSF's you have at Kadena need to be switched to F-15's from the two Air Force squadrons (44 and 67) that are stationed there. Doesn't seem like they would make that much difference though as by the time they get to the fight it would be over, but hey you never know. Last thing, the make up of the Carrier Air Wing is too big. I know you addressed the lack of Growlers which is due to the limitations of the game itself, but the fighters aboard a carrier are usually only 4 squadrons worth. Obviously that can be easily changed and if they were purposely going to Taiwan in an act of defiance they could certainly make the decision to carry more fighters. These realistic simulation videos are awesome keep it up!
Its a game
JSF stationed on Okinawa, please see this for prevenance: ua-cam.com/video/z4krltcsNAw/v-deo.html
I F@!&ing LOVE the Grim Reapers!!!! 🙌🏻
Hello hope you guys are having a great day
Cap this was great..can't wait to see you redo some more of the old carrier battles with the new tech. Thank you.
things will be soooo different!
When the F35's have fired their weapons from the pylons can they dump the pylons and become fully stealthy? It would be a great tactical advantage as they can continue to advance, whilst the foe avoids the incoming, and fire their internal missiles at a much closer range at higher value targets.
I'd have thought this was a thing that stealth would be built for, same with extra fuel bags. Some other comments are saying this doesn't work for real because reasons.
@@Kevin-hb7yq The F22 is capable of doing so and I imagine the F35 can be made to, but they don't because pylons cost money; in an active wartime situation they'll probably be set up to.
I would imagine that for maximum stealth, the Pylon-mountings in the wings
need to get plugged or covered on the ground.
But some relatively small openings in the skin after dumping the Pylons
would probably still be much better than driving those big ol' vertical panels
through enemy radar.
F22 and F35 can jettison pylons.
@@yzdatabase4175 the f-35 definitely can’t jettison pylons. They’re bolted up with 3 massive bolts.
The biggest thing here is the PL15s just not being able to get kills on the F18s. Check the number of bailed out pilots from the 36th minute or so of the video and you'll see that either the 18s are superhuman in their notching or (more likely) the PL15 needs a bit of work.
The PL15 is 100% not modelled correctly. As much as I love these videos, I fkn despise how cap just uses "Well that happened" as an excuse for it being final. If those missile were actually modelled correctly, a lot more plane would be dead.
Then again, I can't predict the overall battle, but those missiles might as well be R27r missiles with how shitty they were.
@@dennizkucuk835 If the PL 15 was actually modelled correctly in DCS, you'd end up with actually fewer hits since in real life it may have the range, but it's an extremely heavy and large missile, and so you'd see fighters very easily outmanoeuvering them. In real life many experts believe that the missile is specifically built to counter AWACs and large aircraft like refuellers, not at all effective against fighter sized aircraft.
@@vector8877 very good point, and it's probably true. Still, the lack of battery is a major issue with the one in game currently.
@@vector8877 You mean the PL21 perhaps? PL15 is built to replace the PL12, they have almost the same size and weight. The PL21 is built to counter AWACS and tankers which is really heavy and huge.
@@vector8877 PL-21 is what you're thinking of, theyre designed to take out high value targets. PL-15s are made for air to air.
I love ur videos but I’ve noticed ALOT of bias as expected, but I would honestly appreciate a real and fair fight.
The pl-15 is a newer and better missile with a longer range than the aim-120D. Infact america is makin the aim-260 cause of china’s pl-15.
I’ll love a redo with a pl-15 buff.
Average numbers from wikipedia (I KNOW WIKIPEDIA IS NOT A RELIABLE SOURCE) state that the pl-15 range is 155miles; while the aim-120D range is 96 miles.
I suggest watching covert cables video on why america is laking in the long range missile category.
But nice video tho !
Plus how can the missiles be running out of battery as portrayed. Also if you are attacking won't you consider have way more aircrafts than the enemy?
Defo biased
The PL 15 likely is not a better missile than the AIM 120D. It's believed by many experts to be dedicated to anti AWACs and transports missions like other missiles such as the R37. The PL 15 is heavy and quite long, and so unlikely to be able to make the sharp manoeuvres required to hit smaller fighter sized aircraft, while the AIM 120D is much more suited to this.
@@vector8877 we agree but then why does it run out of battery and by the way the pl 15 has way more range than the aim120d that is literally thee reason the us is developing aim 260jatm just to counter the pl 15
@@kalactose348 For the Battery issue many of the PL 15s were fired outside their max range. Some at 115 nautical miles and etc, which is very much the pilots problem and not the games. If you remember last time the old AIM 120Ds were also running out of battery when fired outside 100nm, however firing under would prevent that. Soo from this you can probably conclude there's no bias, it's literally happened to American missiles in the past too.
And I agree with you that the PL 15 has more claimed range than the AIM 120D due to the dual pulse motor and other factors. However that range only really counts against AWACs and large aircraft, since the PL 15 is designed to shoot them down, and is too large to effectively manoeuvre to shoot down fighter sized aircraft and so would be useless. The Amraam is still superior to shoot down fighters compared to the PL 15, and the PL is better at shooting down large aircraft.
The AIM 260 JATM is likely being created to shoot down Chinese jets before they can fire their PL 15s on American AWACs and large platforms. That is one real threat the PL 15 presents, however I'm pretty sure it's non existent against fighters
@44:59 Cap's evil laught😄 "That's muh boi's, that's muh boi's."
Can we just appreciate that a video of a sim game had the soul of a historical WW2 pacific style war story fight? The two F-18's in the beginning basically giving the rest of the squadrons a fighting chance, the Chinese tech coming up short on the initial attack. This battle has a better plot than anything Hollywood gives us.
"Anything else?"

Found you guys a couple weeks ago and I am loving it!!!!!
Awesome! never seen so many missiles. That was a total fest of entertainment thank you all.
I’m a little irritated how the AIM-120D had similar performance to the PL-15 in DCS, as the PL-15 is supposed to have be dual pulsed and have a longer no escape zone.
That would be buff for China, and this channel can't have China win whatsoever. Personally don't care who wins as this channel probably has like 80% of the US winrate but I want a close fight to watch and this was just one-way slaughter. Lmao.
@@MGZetta previously in naval engagements china tended to win alot because US fleets were just garbage at ship to ship fighting and it always ended in a CWIS gun fight.

Really nice vid once again.
It's a shame the AI is acting kinda stupid like firing dozens of missiles at 2 planes, but you can't really do anything about that. The PL15's also seem to be nerfed or something, they were missing like crazy here.
DCS need AI rules of engagement like in CMANO. where you can set the AI to fire no more than a set number of missiles at a target
Love your stuff guys!
The only realism in this battle is the wave of Pl-15's...
35:18 Cheezus chruust on a pogo stick that is a ton of missiles in the air. What a terrifying and beautiful sight.

Cap the PL 15 doesn’t seem to track the targets at long range ? Can u fix that cap and Aim 120 D mod seem to work pretty well now .Overall, i really enjoy your wargame series Cap ,hope to see more like this in the future 🔥
Will get this fixed.
Hey Cap, Would the AWACS Reach to the periphery of the radar ranges to maintain only some overlap between their radar detection ranges, and the Naval radars' ranges. In such a way to maximise the Radar coverage in the air. The US Does have a pretty good datalink, it would make sense for them to utilise it fully. This might not be a thing to do for AWACS under a heavy air to air fight going on but during the later stages they would maximise radar coverage in order to cover any lingerers.
Interesting.
It would be pretty cool to see potentially more hypothetical forces in different scenarios in the future, like a future Royal Navy w the new type 26, type 31 and 32 frigates coming soon, maybe someday if they get modelled and stuff.
Also, about the above scenario type stuff, something like hypothetical country military/economic alliances like the proposed CANZUK, including the Uk, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, that could bring some interesting scenarios
Love Your Content
"that's the price you gotta pay if you want murder" - Cap 😂
That giant exchange of missiles was pornographic 🔥🔥🔥 probably my favorite GR vid yet!
thx
You do an excellent job in putting these together. You should be quite proud of all your work. Also, your narration is spot-on. Better than the movies. But ... where are the subs? FYI: Multiple subs are always with the 7th fleet.
DCS software cannot model submarines. Since much of submersible tech is classified, it seems unclear whether that aspect will ever change. Aside from that, in an air battle of attrition, it seems to me subs would be hunkering below the surface, trying to avoiding enemy sonar buoys and fixed sonar arrays, and maintaining radio silence. At most, maybe a sub might advance to somewhere just outside the range of Chinese sonar, and try to lob a few Tomahawks at Chinese air bases (??).
Limit the first fire distance per Chinese flight incrementally, so as to give a more varied targeting probability. After all, as long as they get their missiles off before being hit themselves, they will then have been an effective asset.
TBH I'd just rather get the PL-15 fixed so I don't have to worry about the problem.
The one thing you never model in-game is a CAP for the fleet. Depending on the political scenario the CAP could be covered by the fleet itself but more likely in this scenario, the Air Force from Okinawa would provide CAP for the fleet so the fleet deck crew does not get worn out and is prepared for extended shifts should a military escalation occur.
I find that pretty unlikely; Okinawa would probably be the reserve for follow-on/escalation.
@@92HazelMocha From what I read it is normal for the Airforce to provide CAP when it will be for an extended period as the carrier group is not staffed on the deck crew for extended CAP operations. They would simply burn them out.
Once the carrier group goes into the correct threat level they would then escalate to basically 24/7 air operations.
Just as a guess, the carrier fleet would probably use support CAP from land base as soon as it was inside of coverage range.
35:00 onwards reminds me of scenes from Robotech.
IRL deconfliction would be better due to better comms between pilots and AWACS controllers.
"Public Server" = no control of battlespace as everybody is out for indvidual glory rather than sticking to a set mission and actually following orders.
Nice job Cap and the team! But i have one nagging question. Since it's all about a surprise attack, why aren't the rules of engagement simulated? As for the US navy planes will probably launch but will wait until being fired upon before engaging even if they are facing an aerial armada in front... Just asking...
Yeah, there would indeed be issues until the first shots. But then the video would be either way too long or way too short. 😃
The bots probably can't understand that probably-I guess it would be a programming issue
@@avirajdastidar7691 I remember in Jane's f-15 it was already back then to set the ROE for the AI in the mission builder. Guess DCS should be able to do it...
@@duanemckinley9353 perhaps. But having the ROE option can definitely provide more tactics for an opposing force with older weapons systems. I remember during Vietnam Air war how the BVR tactics were affected by multiple ROE and restrictions, which allowed the Vietnamese to use ambush air attacks and rendering the sparrow missile less efficient. Might bring another layer of realism rather than have 2 armies charging like in the medieval era😄
Now I know it can be a pain in the ass to set all of this.
Great point BUT this would be just too difficult for me to model in game. While technically possible, it would take too many hours to program each AI unit to follow the rules and then test. If I ever get big enough to have a team, I'll do it then/
The Chinese will not merely rely on land and sea based radars. It will rely mainly on sattelites.
The launch of multiple land based missiles will be immediately detected by american/european/ japanese/ S. Korean sattelites as well.
I'd say, the Chinese will use its militia fishing fleet to launch some of the anti-ship missiles to cut the striking distance.
This was excellent! Epic battle!
"Would you like to play a nice game of chess?"
Great video as always. Below, I basically just agree with your conclusion at the end of the video.
The one thing I really wanted to see is how the Aegis network handled those anti-ship missiles! It would be awesome if you take that 7th fleet with all of those cruisers and destroyers and see if it can defend that attack. For visual purposes, I think it would look awesome if the missiles came in from 360 degrees and time-on-target.
I was going to say exactly what you said at the end. The limitation right now lies in DCS AI and in particular the modeling of realistic logistics/battle management/datalink. While I don't know this for a fact, I can only assume the US takes their air superiority very seriously and that would mean planning/training for the possibility of huge aerial battles involving many dozens of plans on both sides. In such a scenario, I don't see how the USAF and USN would simply ignore the issue of optimizing their targets given the total number of missiles they can carry. In fact, I'm sure such strategies are worked on by running their own internal war games and testing various parameters/outcomes with real-world decision-making and load-outs.
Since the US has such an emphasis on high-quality radar, electronic warfare, AWACS, command & control, and so, I believe they will definitely have software-assisted decision trees to specify in very short timeframes to decide which pilots should fire, along with the selected missile/proper range, and specific target. When we see the rudimentary radar and targeting systems modeled in DCS you effectively select a target manually (with the capability to select multiple targets for ripple salvos) and send it. This method dates back to the 1970s/1980s, so I have to believe their methods for target selection and distribution are much more advanced at present.
That’s such an awesome scenario Cap!! Great work to all the reapers! Can you do a big Chinese or Russian carrier group against seventh fleet cap?
Something about all the batteries failing somehow seemed realistic...
That was fantastic. Just beautiful.
that was fantastic 👏 👌. great to watch, hopefully never happens.
That was amazing to watch 💪🏿🤜🏿
The two Super Hornets flying escort for the northern AWACS contributed heavily to the outcome IMO. They drew a ridiculous number of PL-15s out against two targets, but there were plenty of targets for all their AMRAAMs. Then, as you realized at the end, when it looked like China was winning for a while the Americans were steadily putting more planes in the air as fast as China could knock them down.
Plus America got lucky keeping the one AWACS.
How about using 2 B1 bombers out of Japan or ?? and they are loaded (internal and external) with long range missiles to handle both aircraft and inbound missiles
Problem with B1 is that noone can agree on it's RCS.
Former USAF, You rock Cap, just found out about the channel and I’m enjoying it very much! Thank you! 🔥🔥🔥
There was a USS America Carrier. CV-66 a Kitty Hawk class. Decommissioned in 96 and scuttled in 05 after a live fire testing. To bad nobody can dive her as she sits close to 17000 feet underwater
I like these vids!
Let's assume Chinese actually fire PL-15s at operational range with battery, AND coordinated targets across flights. Different battle I think
Hey, Cap. As always, great video. I have a suggestion for a future video. I'm an American, and as such, a huge F-22 fan. I know that the American military is a bit concerned about the F-22's, and similarly the F-35's range in the Pacific theater should hostilities break out with China. I would love to see you guys test a 5th gen strike along the Chinese coast using Raptors and Lightnings launched from say, Okinawa. I'd love to see some F-22 vs Mighty Dragon action (also, are the AIM-120D's working with the Raptor mod in game at the moment?). But primarily, I'd love to see if you guys could launch from Okinawa with external fuel tanks on the Raptor, link up with a tanker enroute, strike along the coast and make it back with fuel to spare. Thanks for considering this! - Brad
might be wrong, but i think AWACS has the self protect jammer. would it jam an incomming missel?? also, don't forget to launch refuelers for the returning heros
45:43 lol it'd be a "Conflict" ;)
46:51& 2:43 again perhaps having them attack from multiple directions and in smaller waves as well instead of one big blob would help Plus the 2:43 problem that's two reasons to try this👍

Is your tag line 'valued viewers'? It always sounds like 'valley viewers'...
"..valued viewers, if that's who you really are".
I'm just glad we got the Amazon Basics batteries in the PL15s properly modeled.
oof
Damn. Ok, that was impressive
Is Link 16 modeled in DCS? I am thinking with the sensors on the F-35's and how they share information between themselves and Aegis ships (which can then pass it on to the super hornets) in real life the AWACs strike would be a waste. since the ships can take over combat control using th esensor fusion from the gen 5 fighters.
Love these videos
I really appreciate DCS and all, but would you consider running this scenario using the Command: Modern operations platform? I would enjoy a second opinion of sorts....
I would it if was multiplayer.
Hey Cap fyi Kadena is the Air Force base and MCAS Futenma is the large Marine Corp Air station on the southern end of Okinawa near Naha.
Late to the comments, but THANK YOU for such an absolutely exhilarating show! My two suggestions for the next iteration are (1) fix the battery problem on the Chinese missiles (obviously) and (2) I still don't think you got the timing quite right at the start. I think the J20's need to attack and try to kill the AWACS well before the main attack is seen on any radar. The US would know that the AWACS were being attacked and would try to scramble everything, but they wouldn't know exactly where to send those planes if AWACS was shot down. Or maybe the CAP aircraft would go active radar and then see the attack coming? Might depend on whether the CAP was F-18's or F-35's, I suppose, given the different radar detection ranges.
hey Capt, can't you ripple fire the missles to help with them all locking on the first ship they see?
I'm thinking if rippled, the first ships would be at least hit if not sunk, and if the closest ship is gone, subsequent missles would lock on to new targets as pervious ships disappear.
you can put the AI aircraft on late activation and make a trigger in the F10 comm menu. After the humans took off from the carrier you can then do the F10, trigger the trigger and have the AI spawn in. That way you get the takeoff for the humans and the AI will wait, instead of the other way around.
nice one, there would be much more deconflicting from China in real life, is there any plan with DCS to make the A.I. of the individual vehicles network that you know of please?
How do the missiles de-conflict? Are they comparing notes?
When the US navy conducts freedom of navigation exercises in the Taiwan straight how vulnerable are they to Chinese attack from various land based defenses?
Great job guys. Random request. Can you do a hypothetical straight fight between the French carrier is task force and rafales and accompanying weapons systems versus one of the British carriers and the f35s? Would be really interesting to see the difference in UK/ US tech versus French.
With all it's imperfections this was a hoot!
Awesome battle!!!
Well done Cap!
How your server did not pack up and fo home....Great video guys
Hey cap, I’m just getting into DCS from hours of experience flying in arma games, and other FPS games with vehicles, ships, artillery, ships, infantry, and drones etc. If you need someone to fly a harrier or a fighter with a full payload of anti ship missiles, or a payload of dummy missiles that will be fired to be diversions, that way real accurate ship killers will have a higher chance of not getting shot down. I’ll even fly a B2 spirit bomber to even drop a low yield nuke, or a entire payload of cluster bombs set to blow up at different altitudes, to cover a wide area and hopefully hit any missiles that are out to shoot down friendly. Also, Japan has nuclear warheads pointed and targeted at set locations in China. So realistically if our fleet got attacked, the Americans stationed at the secret locations will go down into the bunkers, and wait for orders on firing those warheads. True story my buddy was first stationed there when he just joined the chair force, and if the commanding officer didn’t get them to stand down. They would’ve launched all nuclear warheads by accident and caused WW3. Anyway, I’ll describe my background, and what military experience I have in real world. Just a little hint on what I used to do, I used to work with new CTACs who I had fun training and with TACPs who I’d learn something’s from. OIF-OEF 03-12(7 tours) 10years before I got out, and 8 years to get 100% P&T disability. Anyway I live in hawaii and will be happy to play an OP4 or being an extra guy that will divert attention, and launch an entire payload at a high ALT to throw off defense’s, or fly a huge airbus with a modified payload or chaff/flare for evade. I’ll fly one to pull all agro to throw off the opposite sides force, and hope everyone wants to target the huge plane that looks like a giant bomber lol. Hahah my 64Gb DRR5 and 12 Gb GDDR6X 3080ti would love viewing all of this action.
The only nuclear weapons in Japan are on passing American ships.
@@m1t2a1 not in Okinawa. The incident happened before I was born during the early 60’s and my friend just got into the chair force. This is a well known close call where they received launch order/codes from Kadena. They had all bay doors open base locked down, and MPs armed at the main launch room, outside the room, and wherever the places that their secret SOP for that alert placed them. Also, this past march or may before Abe died, they signed a treaty with nato to arm Japan (not secretly like in the past) with nuclear weapons for deterrence.
Are you sure you should be telling us this lol
Sign this guy up Cap, he’s keen!
@@DisgruntledDisabledCombat_Vet That's about the same time America made Canada a nuclear power. Supposedly gone from there now.
@Grim Reapers It would be cool to see a mass free for all fight let everyone pick whatever plane they want to fight with and just have at it lol. be super fun to watch.
The biggest thing that irks me is how small the chinese force is. Like it's the 7th fleet I would expect at least twice as many chinese planes minimum
'Merica! Eff Yeah!
Great vid, as always Cap and the GR team.
We both know the only way the ChiComs will win is if they all ditch their canopies and toss bomb nukes, like Cap does. ;-)
I think this is the first episode of a big simulation in which HALF the time of the entire video goes up on informing and briefing before actually going to fight 😄
This video should also take into account the new air defense systems integrated into their planes by both sides.
Curious what you run for PC hardware? CPU, GPU, RAM, ext…
That was f'ing nuts. I'd love to know the stats for total missiles fired vs hits etc for both sides.
2D overall tactical view is great! I personally prefer mostly 2D with some 3D sprinkled in for these Wargames. Thanks for the video.
Cap any chance we can get the AIM-120D speed mod? When you guys get it right that is. Thanx. Great vid as always.
Is this the first time that Cap modelled protective fighters already airborne? That's one thing that always struck me as odd with the carrier missions: no barrier combat air patrol. Should always be a couple planes waaay out there as a first line of defence.
People who use Wikipedia as reference for missiles capabilities don't realize that most of that info is classified because if we knew the exact range and capabilities than we would know how to defend against. So we can't go off what is given in Wikipedia.. your vids are good no matter what.
