  • Let's take a look at the Panaracer Gravelking SK 26" tires.
I've decided to give these a go on my Cannondale Mountain bike, join me as I change the tires, discuss why I picked these and take them out for a quick test ride.

Nice to see old 26" wheeled mtbs as a commuter. I can't find decent 1.5 mtb knobby tires anymore so mudguard clearance is a pain. I never thought to check out gravel tires...after all, gravel bikes resemble 90s mtbs more and more. I'll be curious how durable they are for you.

Found the content relevant, I just got a 26” Surly with aggressive tires and am considering options more appropriate for commuting. I appreciate your short format, gets right to the point. I’d be interested in seeing a follow-up after you’ve used the new tires for a while. Thanks

@@cramamba Surly Lowside, I believe its a 2021. Gray, size large. I have a short commute these days (only a mile, and mostly flat!) so my heavier use for this bike is evenings and weekends when I pop over to a local pump track and woods trails. Not much elevation change at the trails but bumpy singletrack, lots of roots as the paths wind through the woods. Grip is good and all, but I used to bike commute and messenger in NYC where the name of the game was speed and preventing flats.
