Yea the weapons in days gone were criminally underrated in how good they felt, aiming was off but the sound design/feel was maybe the best I’ve ever heard.
I can hear the echo in the clip which helps demonstrate how freaking loud gunshots are. My friends that don't go to gun ranges are always shocked by that thanks to Hollywood misleading them.

Love the guns in this game, I downloaded a mod that gives them the appropriate ballistics and rate of fire to their real counterparts and realistic looking suppressors. Makes using the us556 a lot more satisfying
Deacon was in the army before the apocalypse, but the way he handles some weapons here is absurd, such as with the .22 rifle having more kick than a .50 rifle. Also, some weapons have inaccurate rate of fire, such the PPSH firing slower than the real one. Reload animations are actually great, despite incorrect reloads on some weapons. Still, these are just some nitpicks I have as this game is 100% a total blast to play.

I'd like the enemy NPCs have more variety of weapons, not just the same sawed-off shotgun of always, the same pistol as Deek, and the AK47 I'm not saying that everyone always, obviously it's not a good idea that you can get the best weapon in the game in a early random encounter, but something similar to the Anarchist camps, which have better weapons than the rest of the factions That in the missions to raid camps, depending on the faction, they have more advanced weapons without being too op, especially the militia deserters
After playing it a lot recently, i didn't know than the BND-150 was a weapon from Syphon Filter, nice easter egg tho. Same for the mighty stun gun which you can have if you've founded all 18 IPCA pieces and get the final ending. After that, you can craft it and burn everything you want.
Where did you get all the weapon that aren't in history mode? Im bout to finish again the game in survivor II, but can't see a lot of these weapon, for example; the growler
Just a heads up that the first pistol Deacon has is not an M9, not actually sure what it's supposed to be based off of, but it's weird that they went for this chunky, blocky looking pistol, as opposed to the M9 seen in the trailer, would've loved to have actually had an M9 in this game since it's my all time most fav handgun but unfortunately that didn't happen.
I've always had a personal gripe about miniguns. Just the name seems strange to me. I know that it's a smaller version of the tank-mounted Vulcan weapon, but I still don't consider such a weapon "mini." The Growler, however, does match that description, since it's small enough to be held like a rifle.

No it didn't get scraped. They are supposed to be releasing it by the end of 2023-beginning of 2024. Ps4 only as that's what the game started on and will be released for PC by 2026

It’s with a mod, it’s in the game files but not fully implemented, hence the janky reload, similar to the rocket launcher.

The sounds are so good, so powerful, you actually feel like you are shooting a gun. My favourite is by far the MG45 which is actually an MG5

Yeah the MG45 here sounds like a bolter gun from w40k. You can really hear that heavy metal exiting the barrel.
something I like about the Growler is that it’s how the original minigun from Predator was held, not like a chainsaw from Terminator 2

Indeed, fire .22LR, but kick like a normal rifle.
The damage for the .22 is also questionable.
Let's not forget the gigantic magazine sized for intermediate assault rifle calibers that holds 5 rounds.
It's a Ruger 10/22. Very inaccurate portrayal of the recoil, there is barely any recoil in a .22 LR, but I know it's just a video game.

My favorite: Auto Shotgun. High damage and spread. The snipers I prefer the C8. I also like the crossbow. It is very versatile and practical.
