Also, one of the differences between the two is the Engine sounds in PE drastically changed from BOTE. In BOTE, the engine noise is quiet and sounds nothing like the real stock cars in NASCAR. Stock cars have louder and roaring engines powered by V8 engines.
Battle On The Edge vs Power Edition comparisons: The Easy Level Car in Battle On The Edge has the sponsor of Chums Gums. In Power Edition, it was changed into JC Eagle Professional Racing Team. The Beginner Stage's environment. In Battle On The Edge, it's an indoor biodome arena full of waterfalls, forests and flower field known as the Forest Island. In Power Edition, it was changed into an open air NASCAR oval track known as the Sega International Speedway where you can see trailer trucks of all of the racing teams in the game including the mascot vehicle, Scorpio Plasma Batteries Racing Team. The introduction scenes. In Battle On The Edge, it shows a short video montages of all three tracks and it has the phrases upon transition such "Dangerous over 200 mph battle" and "You can SLINGSHOT". In Power Edition, it only shows the entirety of Sega International Speedway showing traditional scenes of the race such as two cars clashing and a crash montage. The Hornet High Class car is hidden in Battle On The Edge and it has the hood scoop. In Power Edition, it's still hidden but a proper exploit can make this vehicle available for free play and the hood scoop is gone. Try play as the Hornet in Beginner stage, you'll unlock a secret easter egg where it uses the same camera angle from its predecessor. The crew chief speaks often in Power Edition such as "Guard that rear bumper". The challenge mode is added in Power Edition. It was one of the reasons why the beginner stage's environment has changed for that purpose. The challenge mode is a race to the finish against a time limit starting from the Advanced stage and finishing the race on the Beginner stage.
There's a far better comparison of this over on the MrThunderwing channel. It predates this video by over a year and he actually manages to finish 1st in both races, unlike the poor show on display here.
Battle on the Edge looks much more interesting visually.
+ Thunder Force I agree ^^
+Thunder Force I agree, looking at the video that version has many more details.
whats diffrent betwen them ?

I think Battle on the Edge's design for the same course is more interesting. PE depicts a NASCAR style speedway, but I'd rather have the lush scenery.
Power Edition has a far more realistic depiction of a NASCAR approved oval course, that even I wish the NASCAR officials to build one in real world.
And Power Edition not only added the challenge course but has the Hornet Classic as well
@@alexgibalski795 you can get the Hornet car in batle of edge but its way more dificult but you can customize it
didn't realize there was a power edition. first time I saw Daytona 2 was the battle on the edge version

great info. thanks. still, is there any differences in gameplay mechanics?
I wish they'd release these on PSN
Too bad this game and Sega Super GT (Scud Racer) never port to Dreamcast or any other modern consoles.
dl211981 or at least ported to PSN, XBL or STEAM
Sadly!!! Should be available for other platforms too, like ps3, ps4 or PC...
dl211981 u mnie na internecie mówią że jest tylko automat do gry
Maybe barely the Wii.
Lindo!! Pena a Sega nunca se interessar em lança-lo pra outras plataformas, eu compraria =/
Emula no Pc pelo supermodel

Witch one would you guys say is better battle on the edge or power edtion
To be honest, I have to go with Battle On The Edge.
The power edition is more realistic is more new, and the battle on the edge has fewer cars and the Hornet classic is missing
Actually hidden
Power Edition is a better game, the Battle of the edge is too exagerate
