I LOOOOOOVED eating at the Blue Bayou! As I was having lunch with my family, a boat passed by and one of the kids on it called out 'Are you real?!' and I shouted back 'No!' He turned to the kid next to him and said 'I told you!' I'll remember it forever :)

last week while dining a kid was yelling "don't shoot us!!" .... he really thought we were pirates :)
I did this at 2 restaurants in Disney Paris and was the best meals of the trip. At the pirates ride a little girl kept waving to every boat was too cute
DoomBuggy86 i hate to be one of those people but you should have seen it pre pirates movies. The selection was twice as big, and the prices were half as much. They used to have a chocolate coffin with zero the dog on top every winter to compliment haunted mansion halloween that was to die for (not to mention a whole dessert cart) At this point you are better off eating at the napa rose. Similar prices with award winning service and fancyness
I just recently went to Disneyland without going on any rides. I was having a rough week so I just went by myself, and just walked around. Went into stores I've never been in and had great conversations with some cast members. It definitely turned my week around.
working at Disneyland graveyard shift it's crazy seeing the park empty no guest no music it's an experience not a lot of people get to see and feel I get to walk around the park right before the sun comes out all u hear in the park are the birds it's a special feeling also walking the attractions when they are off is an amazing experience!!!
That must be really amazing! Are there a lot of workers around overnight? I always imagined that was when they did all the cleaning, landscaping, maintenance on the rides, and other stuff they don't want guests to see.
I agree. A great perk of being a cast member. Had that experience in the middle of the night on brake testing the Matterhorn. A totally different kind of magic. My last summer I took the opening shift on Jungle Cruise. I loved taking that first boat around to check the animation.
I worked there too in the 70's and there is nothing like it. Closing the park was awesome too. People do not realize that guys come in with fire hoses and wash it all down every night and just make it sparkle
Last time I was at Disneyland, my date and I were both on the loading dock of Big Thunder Mountain right when the fire works show started! We figured lines for rides would be shorter when the fireworks show was going on, but we definitely didn't plan on the incredible view of the show from that ride! The first loud 'BOOM' scared the living daylights out of us, but it ended up being an unexpected and utterly MAGICAL moment followed by a magical quick kiss we sneaked inside the tunnel right before the first lift. =)
We saw Peter the last time we were there and it actually made me a little teary eyed, just to see someone who loves Disney so much! And of course my daughter made fun of me...
kay_oh_be I went to Disneyland for the very first time in May and I saw Peter on Small World and I absolutely freaked out because of seeing him on Fresh Baked...talk about memorable!
I remember running into Peter on the Jungle Cruise. I knew about him already through Fresh Baked, but didn't know if he was a cast member or a guest with some notoriety.
I love the idea of doing a no attraction day! When I go with a CM friend we do very few rides and just hang out. It's so much more fun and relaxing than when I go with my family and they rush around to go on as many rides as possible!
One night, and we didn’t plan this, we watched the fireworks from riding high on the ASTRO ORBITER! It was just FANTASTIC, something I’ll never forget. Pure magic.
Gahhh! I want to go to Disneyland now! My husband and I had lunch at the blue bayou when we visited for our honeymoon. We had a table right along the water and it was worth every penny. Such a beautiful memory we will always cherish.
The year of the 60th, my teenage son and I planned a day without rides. It was amazing. The two of us made great memories. We watched shows and celebrations. We went on the Columbia sailing ship for the first time. (It has always been docked on other trips) We saw the last performance of the old Disneyland band and had a chance to see the Dapper Dans. It was a very enjoyable day. On our next trip, I hope to ride in the nose of the monorail. I had a chance once before, but there was only room for 4 people so I let my hubby and kids go. I have yet to do it myself. I also have never seen the flag retreat ceremony. That's on my bucket list. I also want to try some of the foods FB has reviewed. Guess I need to get the bucket list ready and at the top of my list it will say: meet the Fresh Baked gang!
I love that this list is all things that are super achievable. I was so happy to see that "club 33" & "dream suite" aren't on the list. It's so much more relatable & definitely going to try all of these soon!
Eugene Morita my now 19(almost 20yr old) son has been trying for years and back in 2013 we took my nephews and the youngest (9 at the time) was the rebel spy and he cried because he surprisingly knows nothing about Star Wars(yes, my brother is a failure as a parent. LOL) and my son was so ticked off that once again he was not the spy and his hated cousin didn’t even appreciate it. 😂
I've done it all except saying hello to Peter. I've seen him, but never gave him the greeting. The thing I want to do the most is ride in the tender seat on the DLRR. 🚂
This is honestly one of the BEST videos on the internet. There's nothing better than a Disneyland bucketlist. Definitely one of my favorite FreshBaked videos
I'm happy to say my daughter and I have done 8 out of 10 of your bucket list, Disneyland is truly a magical place that is so special in different ways to everyone who loves it, it makes my heart smile every time I go or watch your videos so for that I thank you Freshbaked
This one needs a love button. It's great!!! To compliment the rope drop, I'd add close down a park. Most people leave after nighttime parade and fireworks. That hour or two between that and closing is amazing!! Granted, it's usually crowded right up until that, but I like to grab an ice cream and people watch to wait while the park empties. The park is quiet, rides are easy to get on, and it's a great way to get morning-style peacefulness in the dark.
I got a ride on Big Thunder during the fireworks a couple years ago! The fireworks started while we were cresting the second lift hill (the outdoor one) and kept on through the whole ride! It was absolutely amazing. When I was little my Grandma got us a ride side seat at the Blue Bayou! I love Disneyland, and these experiences just make my day.
YES YES YES TO ALL OF THIS! Disneyland is definitely a lifetime park and when people tell me that I should be tired of Disneyland now (been AP for about 10 years now!) people don't realize how magical Disneyland will always be with bucketlist items likes these! For example, after almost 10 years I FINALLY tried Blue Bayou this past spring for my boyfriends birthday and to do it right, we of course got a water table and honestly it was the most magical feeling I felt at Disney for awhile! I honestly cried (LOL) because even after 25 years, Disneyland still felt so special to me ❤️
Ps if you ride the story book land canals during the fireworks a cast member/captain will usually turn off the boat so you can watch the firework show .....
they used to do that with the mark twain. it was called "the fireworks trip" and would stop at the back of tom sawyer island. then along came this thing called fantasmic.
The only thing that I haven't done on this list is the train ride. Now I know what I must do once it returns. My favorite experience that I had from this list is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad during the fireworks. That was a truly magical experience.
I love no ride days ! When people ask me what's my favorite thing about the park my answer is just being there and taking it in . The big smile walking in giving a nod the Walts apartment and taking my jaunt down Main Street with no destination in mind just enjoying the satisfaction of being there . Thanks for the footage FB! It makes the in between trips time way more bearable lol FRESH BAKED!!!!
We always do teacups at night... it's just so pretty! We have been there for Dapper Day, and it was fun to see the outfits, but people should know it gets EXTREMELY crowded!
Loved this video. It's great to see someone enjoy the heart of Disneyland so much. It's not just about thrill rides. It is a life experience that gives back as much as you put in.
I go to the park at least 3 times a year and have sadly never seen (or heard) Peter. I really want to though. I'd say honorable mention goes to Maynard and his Tiki Room. By far the best way to experience that legendary attraction
not sure if you know but Maynard gets to work at different posiions at the park...I got to know him with my friends being at the Mansion all the time.By far, he's my favorite greeter there.
I got to take a ride with Ken, this past Saturday, in his fire truck, and it was amazing! He definitely got a kick when I asked if he was the "Famous Ken."
Something that I always have had on my bucket list is being the Rebel Spy on Star Tours. I recently finally succeeded in being the Spy on my recent Graduation Trip!
Absolutely agree with your number one. Take the time to enjoy the atmosphere of the park. Sit on a bench in each land and just watch and listen. Even though it technically is a ride, I would incorporate riding the train all the way around the park. It allows you to see it from a different view and just relax. My suggestion for something to experience at least once is the flag ceremony at sunset. As a veteran, it still gets me every time I see it. It's the one thing I hope they never stop doing.
Aww little ninja on the monorail! I think you hit the nail on the head with this video David! Blue bayou is a great experience but can I bring my own food :p the food wasn't great but yes, no ambiance like it ! Great video David!
Love it. I have done all of these. Big thunder during the 60th fireworks finale was completely surreal. And the clapper guy. I have seen him several times.
im so happy about the last one! most disneyland bucket lists woukd never include it, but i completely agree!! i try to tell so many people that hardly any rides is the best way, just walking around and enjoying everything. this year our class did grad nite and almost everyone complained after that it wasnt worth it because of the crowds and the lines. however, my friend and i had an amazing time, we only did haunted mansion and roger rabbit (which we didnt wait in line for), and the rest of the day was just enjoying the park. it really is the best and most relaxing way to experience disneyland
i totally agree with #1. as much as we obsess with getting to the next ride, i have been wanting (on my next trip) to be able to go to the Parks and just take in and see the sights, sounds amd smells of Disneyland and not worry about doing rides :)
Number one that shot of Liz in the tea cups at night beautiful and so genuine! Love ya Liz! Number two I'm sooo shocked that you didn't include a ride down Main Street with Ken in the fire truck! So shocked! To me that's a bucket list! Another one would be to have an encounter with Maynard!
I fall in love with Liz every time I watch those clips of her on the tea cups from that night. As for Ken, I felt like that is the kind of thing that can be done every day without too much difficulty, so it didn't make the top 10. But it's definitely a must do.
kayliiika thank you darling, I will never actually forget that night because of the scenery and my man, him reminding me why I fell in love with him in the first place xo
Another ride to go on during the fireworks is dumbo! A friend and I accidentally went on right when the fireworks were starting and it was one of the most magical experiences Ive ever had!
One of my biggest bucket lists items where ever I go is to have a couple key things planned out that are must see items, rest just explore and let the day/time in that place take you are meant to be... by doing this have had experiences would never have had but so glad I have had.
I rode in the nose of the Monorail and it was really special. It was a little thing, but my friends and I had a nice conversation with the pilot and it felt really great. We asked her about Disneyland secrets and she was so open. Definitely recommend. Ive also eaten in the Blue Bayou and as good as the food was, the ambiance was even better. Nothing beats it
The big thunder mountain firework show was something my family did all the time! No one used to think to come over to the ride. Now everyone knows and the q is always super long before the show.
Loved this video! I remember going on Big Thunder Mountain right as the grand finale was going off, and we were headed up the second hill. It is still one of my most cherished memories, coming in second right behind winning unlimited fastpasses during the year of a million dreams.
What a marvelous list - I hope they bring back the live actors so the tradition can continue - Disneyland would not be the nostalgic wonderland without them.
Great video. However. I had to use the restroom one day and standing next to me was the one and only Peter!!!! On the way out I noticed he fid NOT wash his hands!!!!!! I thought ‘ ohhhh noooooo, isn’t his thing a hand shake??? But he didn’t wash his hands’. Sad but true. :(((
My friends and I tried to catch the fireworks from Big Thunder, but it was closed! We had an extra fastpass from Matterhorn closing earlier, so we sprinted back to Matterhorn and got on right as the fireworks started (and they were a few minutes late!). We were incredibly lucky because if Thunder were open we would've been too early. Amazing experience
Excellent video, David...and I concur with the spirit! It may be interesting that I remember virtually every clip shown in this! I can't say I've done rope drop, but what I have done is, while at the Run-Disney weekend in 2012, the Park didn't open 'til 9:00, but I was there with only about 200 people ready to go in. I chose to ride the DLRR immediately, and I got to see some really neat stuff. There was hardly ANYONE in the Park (I saw more CMs than guests) and I felt like a VIP! I haven't been in the Lilly Belle, but I HAVE ridden in the caboose! I don't recall ever being in the Tea Cups during a parade. I haven't been on BTMRR during the fireworks, but I have watched them from just to the left of the Toontown gate...talk about close! And almost no one was there. I have yet to character dine or attend Dapper Day. I have never had a rideless day, but I have always taken the time to absorb and enjoy the myriad other aspects of the Resort! So, there are really only 3 things on your list that I have not done in any way, shape or form...the rest I have either done outright, or have experienced similar and/or related things. Good list and I will try to keep these suggestions in mind for my future visits! :-) FRESH BAKED!!!
i really appreciate the final tip. I feel like a basically grew up in Disneyland, but it's been 10 years since my last visit and I'm taking my kids to the parks for the first time in a few days. I've been trying to figure out the best way to maximize the experience for them. Do we do Fantasyland first for the magical first time experience? Do we go straight to Star Tours to avoid the inevitably long lines? But the reality is that they are 7 and 9 years old, so it really won't matter how much I plan, the magic of the park and all the experiences will still be unforgettable.
The best thing is you can have a bucket list and then you learn about new things...like getting to drive at Indiana Jones...finding hidden things like the little man house or the white rabbits house...listen to the recording of houdini ....there is so much!
These videos are just my favorite of yours. Where you just talk about what makes Disney so great. It makes me want to go there so badly, but I can't right now. But, hopefully, soon.
Number one is my favourite! I did this all the time at WDW when I was on my ICP and now I do it at Disneyland Paris :) there's so much to see without running from ride to ride!
LOVE!!! And I agree with all of those. I would also like to add, trying new menu items throughout the year. I probably would never have known about the garlic twist if not for FreshBaked!!!
Great list guys!!! And so cute to see young Ninja! David, do you ever miss having a young one with you at the park? There is something special when you experience Disneyland through their eyes. You did a great job putting this one together! It really captured a bit of the magic that is uniquely Disney. Thank you!
I caught the fireworks from Big Thunder during the Halloween party one year (although at Disney World) and it was so magical, especially because it was timed perfectly and as I came out of the mountain and into a drop the big finale explosions went off. I even caught it on camera and have it on my channel somewhere.
I'll add riding Matterhorn while the fireworks are going on! I lucked out and managed to do this on my very first visit; it's part of why Matterhorn remains my favorite attraction. My friend and I have never managed to time it perfectly since. Such a magical experience. And I definitely agree on the no ride day! I haven't done a full no-ride day, but my friend and I have done focusing on shows and side attractions day (with a ride or two thrown in.) And Dapper Day is the absolute best!
Awesome video fresh baked 👍🏻 I remember one time about 10 years I was on small world and when the boat exits the last tunnel the fireworks used to be right over it and we came out right when then fireworks were overhead... truly magical
I've done a lot of these. I need to ride in the Lily Belle though. I could never go a day without riding anything. I only get to go to Disneyland once a year or less.
I've seen Peter before at Autopia the first time I went to Disney in a while. I never realized how much he's well known until I saw this video. The next time I see him I'll definitely clap with him 👏🏻👍🏻
I love this David! Thank you for posting, and might I say I have been blessed to have experienced all but the character breakfast so far. I would also like to add going on Splash Mountain at night during the fireworks is also beautiful.♡
I've done #2 & #5, I still have the pin they gave me from the character breakfast at the Plaza Inn. I don't think I'll ever do #6 because of motion sickness. I haven't been to DL on Dapper Day but I did happen to go on Goth day and that was pretty cool. One thing that's on my bucket list is going to DL alone that way I can easily do single rider lines and just sit back and people watch.
Love this video, love you Fresh Baked! We saw the electrical parade from the tea cups on our last trip and it was so much fun and yes there was special interactions! And Goofys Kitchen was soooo cool!
We went to Disneyland last week. After the Main Street Electrical Parade, we decided to pass up the fireworks show because we had seen it the night before. We headed toward Autopia, but decided to ride the Rockets as the wait was only 15 minutes. The fireworks show started while we were in line, and we had a better view than we would have had from Main Street. They actually let us on the ride during the show and the ride ended as the show ended. It felt so magical.
Great video David! Love all of your suggestions and ideas. I have been fortunate enough to have done many of those ideas before. I feel very blessed. I hope to ride in the Lilly belle one day. 👍🏽
I LOOOOOOVED eating at the Blue Bayou! As I was having lunch with my family, a boat passed by and one of the kids on it called out 'Are you real?!' and I shouted back 'No!' He turned to the kid next to him and said 'I told you!' I'll remember it forever :)

how much was the food? i wanna eat there just to experience it :)
Sierra ehh its gotten a little pricey. If you have more than 3 people and want to eat more than appetizers be prepared to fork over a benjamin
I just recently went to Disneyland without going on any rides. I was having a rough week so I just went by myself, and just walked around. Went into stores I've never been in and had great conversations with some cast members. It definitely turned my week around.

This is honestly one of the BEST videos on the internet. There's nothing better than a Disneyland bucketlist. Definitely one of my favorite FreshBaked videos

Went to Disneyland on my Birthday in March and was able to do the handshake with Peter! It made my day that much more special.

Do they still do it even now?
This video made me tear up! Lol the magic is contagious!! I can't wait to visit Disneyland again!

That ending almost made me cry awe. And it makes me happy to say I've done a couple of the things on this list and I hope do keep doing more
Okay Fresh Baked, you've finally done it. I got chills from this video. We live in Arizona but we are homesick for Disneyland. See you in December.
Loved this video. It's great to see someone enjoy the heart of Disneyland so much. It's not just about thrill rides. It is a life experience that gives back as much as you put in.

fred norris I've only been to Disneyland a couple of times, but I did get Maynard at the tiki room! And I knew who he was, and I was so excited.
I have had the oppertunity to ride the Lily Belle 6 Times and it is absolutely mind blowing every single time.
I got to see Peter Tu this weekend! No handshake but his clapping really made the morning awesome. So upbeat
I whole heartily agree with this list. Ive done most of them but the one I really would get crossed off is the lilly bell.

FreshBaked baby you still know how to melt my heart...never had a man love me the way that you do ❤️❤️ love you
kayliiika thank you darling, I will never actually forget that night because of the scenery and my man, him reminding me why I fell in love with him in the first place xo
Another ride to go on during the fireworks is dumbo! A friend and I accidentally went on right when the fireworks were starting and it was one of the most magical experiences Ive ever had!
We had a fast pass for Big Thunder during the fireworks on Friday. SUCH FUN!
Me and my boyfriend to see Peter in the morning and then ride big thunder during the firework show. Such an amazing day and experience!
It wasn't on the list, but I got to pilot the Mark Twain. That was the magical thing on my whole trip!!!
Loved this video! I remember going on Big Thunder Mountain right as the grand finale was going off, and we were headed up the second hill. It is still one of my most cherished memories, coming in second right behind winning unlimited fastpasses during the year of a million dreams.
What a marvelous list - I hope they bring back the live actors so the tradition can continue - Disneyland would not be the nostalgic wonderland without them.
awww...I love that Peter is on the list!
Thank You David, Sara, Liz, Ian & Ethan for all you do. This is a great bucket list and I'd really like to try all of them. Keep up the Great work.
One time I rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train during Wishes and it was magical!
This made me emotional
FRESH BAKED!!!
i really appreciate the final tip.
Great list definitely going to try to do some of the things on this list when I go next year. I have never been before.
Number one is my favourite! I did this all the time at WDW when I was on my ICP and now I do it at Disneyland Paris :) there's so much to see without running from ride to ride!
Excellent list! Number 1 is hard when you live a flight away, but I am definitely tempted to give it a shot.
Woo Hoo! I'VE already done five out of ten. Here's to doing the other five someday.
Great video had goosebumps the entire time
Thank you!
I love just going to parks and just chilling lol no agenda no stress!!
This video made me way too happy :) Thanks Fresh Baked! Also, totally met Peter last trip! Such a legend!
I've done a lot of these. I need to ride in the Lily Belle though. I could never go a day without riding anything. I only get to go to Disneyland once a year or less.
We appreciate all the love and effort you all put into making these videos!!!! KEEP IT UP FRESH BAAAAKEDDDDD!!!!! ✨✨✨✨
Glad Peter is on the list, we rode Thunder with him last year, it was our first time at DL and didn't know he was such a big deal!
Such a great list! Definitely added some new things to my to do list when I go to Disneyland!
Love the list. I really like item 10. when I get WDW I enjoy the people-watching and we make a game of trying to identify first-timers.
I've seen Peter before at Autopia the first time I went to Disney in a while. I never realized how much he's well known until I saw this video. The next time I see him I'll definitely clap with him 👏🏻👍🏻
A bucket list thing I'd suggest is when Fantasmic is down, make sure you experience the Mark Twain at night.
I love this David! Thank you for posting, and might I say I have been blessed to have experienced all but the character breakfast so far. I would also like to add going on Splash Mountain at night during the fireworks is also beautiful.♡
God I love how you guys made me feel all warm and fuzzy about Disneyland.. you guys are awesome!!
Big Thunder+ Fantasmic is also amazing!!!
Laura Forner splash mountain too
Love this video, love you Fresh Baked! We saw the electrical parade from the tea cups on our last trip and it was so much fun and yes there was special interactions! And Goofys Kitchen was soooo cool!
We stumbled up that opportunity to ride at night with the fireworks in the background and it was so amazing
Another amazing video! Fresh BAAAAAKED!!!!
We saw the fireworks from big thunder line totally by accident and you are soooo right. Amazing.
I once rode the matterhorn during the firework show, it was amazing.
My bucket list included Club 33 and I was able to go for a dinner. It was simply amazing! Well worth the money!
I LOVE #1! I want to absolutely do it!
I went to eat at the blue bayou over a year ago and I HAVE NOT stopped thinking about it since. I still dream about that gumbo!
Amazing. Thank you!
Great video David! Love all of your suggestions and ideas. I have been fortunate enough to have done many of those ideas before. I feel very blessed. I hope to ride in the Lilly belle one day. 👍🏽
Crazy. My wife and I saw Peter, but had no idea who he was. Seems like a joyous dude. Cast members loved him.
This was a excellent vlog. Good Job!
