Also can i actually flash the phone straight away? Basically im getting this phone delivered, do i need to do anything with the phone in its chinese version before i start this process?

Did you lock the bootloader the same way as he did on his rog 3? Also what was the different step/s?
i followed your process but when i launched flashall_AFT the command tab appear and wrote things, but after some seconds it disappear and now i'm lock and the phone still locked in boot mode 😔help please
The same thing just happened to me, it got to the bootloader and it turned off and it didn't start again, were you able to solve it?
no one can get that annoying unlocked bootloader message 😩
Just a warning to everyone else. The flashing process froze for me and completely bricked my phone. I contacted many local phone repair shops and they could not help me. Very sad :(

For the language yes it's possible. But for other features you need to be on global rom
my asus rog phone 5 firmware does not come with the flashall file when downloading it from asus official web, it just comes with a payload.bin

I had to get the ASUS Android Bootloader Interface drivers before this worked for me. Hopefully this helps someone. I spent hours figuring it out.

Hi Bobby, thanks fo your sharing knowledge of ASUS series phone chinese version convert. I got a new Rog 6 and follow your step with Rog3 and Rog5, after flash to ww version change the vender contry code to ww, but found the build fingerprint still the CN_AI2201, not convert to WW_AI.., it there something wrong, I did not lock my phone after root to change the file.
You need a rog 6 files. Those file in the video is specifically for those models only
@@BobbyPrats Yeah I have Rug6 ww raw, boot.img, root-boot.img, and do same step reference the Rug3, and Rug5 of your video, but only different is, it have a county.back file, list below of the county file, and when I do recovery mode seems there is no selection is wipe all data and reset the factory, only have reset factory data selection. I will repeat it again and check with the country.back file also to take a look again. The root-boot.img, I was used the magisk app to do the patch for boot.img it will created a new root-boot image. then I use that do root and change the device etc config.

I Have the rog phone 5, Tencent Games version, already have this global rom installed: WW_phone-18.0840.2104.49 , the problem whit this Tencent Games don't have 5G on T-Mobile, in USA, the phone came with this ROM from factory, no OTA updates, no 5G, someone have this problem?

@@BobbyPrats i want to root the phone since want to get the 90 fps on pubg mobile since rog 5 doesnt support 90 fps yet there is a modified config file which goes into the game folder that cannot be accessed anymore with android 11 (Shadow tracker extra) if you know a way to do it without rooting i will be thankful

I purchased rog 5s chinese set, but the seller helped to install Google store for me. The Google related apps work well with wifi but not with my data rom. Ok how do I revert back to the Chinese version? The phone actually works better where I live on that version. Now that I know that 5G just will not work on. But with the global version it's locked at 3G I was getting 4G on Chinese version.

My tutorials are for rog 5 not 5s. Try to access bootloader and reset if you can.

I got ROG phone 5s from china global ROM but there is warning ⚠️ notification.(hardwarestub service) and (The installed Firmware does not mach the device origin please note that you may not receive FOTA update) there is any way to stop the warning ⚠️

Need help, when I connect my phone via side port naka charge lang sya, never prompted to transfer files. Hindi sya ma detect sa ADB and Device Manager. I've checked multiple videos and tried to check settings pero wala talaga. Pero kapag bottom port ginamit ko gumagana sya. Used multiple cables and 2 different laptop but still no luck. Any suggestions? I really need one.

On an online store I found the CN version with Global rom, multi-language, Google and Play Store services installed and support for OTA updates. If it's a tencent version with global firmware only manual updates can be done. Though it's pretty easy. Just download the update file and save to internal memory and restart. That's it. If it's still on CN software auto updates will work

Once you go back to chinese software your updates will be done manually also cause it's possible that the bootloader was unlocked already before to convert it to global.
@@BobbyPrats I got it on AliExpress and it doesn't show that message when I turn the phone on that Google whatever. I don't think the bootloader was unlocked,or what do you think?
@@mftech3108 if it was fully converted already and it's a tencent version of means the bootloader was unlocked already. Cause their is no way to fully convert a phone without unlocking a bootloader.
@@BobbyPrats guess what I updated it yesterday by downloading firmware from the Asus website and then I saw a pop up notification after putting the file in the file manager and I clicked on and it updated and restarted and now I have the lastest version. I didn't have to unlock the bootloader and all that.

Raw files are bought from websites. Sometimes you can check on xda of it’s available
Debug mode on? was the bootloader not unlocked prior to this tutorial, adb interface wont popup up in device manager, the other 2 does when I switch between modes, fast boot only picks up when I manually go to recovery and tick enter fast boot option, will that work or do I need to be on the same screen as you , all drivers correct and working please help, you the only superhero when it comes to in-depth Rog 5 WW conversion
Yes bootloader was not unlocked prior to this. When in fastboot check if device is connected in device manager.

Hello Bobby, i recently bought a rog 5s pro 512 gb tencent version, like 3 months ago, but i started to have some Wi-FI problems that i believe it could be a software issue, i wipe reset the phone and now im stuck in the FRP of google cuz i cant turn on the WI-FI and i cant neither use the mobile data, i think if flash the phone the issue with the Wi-FI might be gone but i need the raws file for ZS676KS and try this video, do you have it ??
Hello! I have bought Rog Phone 5 tencent version, but the seller already installed the global ROM. Is it possible for me to root it? I asked a UA-camr about it and he said it is not possible, because the tencent version, when they install global ROM, they lock the cellphone again, and it cant be rooted.
You will need to unlock bootloader first. Also rooting it will not be able to update phine software
But I read on a forum that Asus only let you unlock it once. And as they already installed global ROM and locked it again, I wouldnt be able to unlock it again. Is that true?
