The fact that the cops turned off their body cams, and didn't realize they were recorded on the intersection camera, is all you need to know about their intentions.

In this age of cameras you have to assume your ALWAYS being recorded. I am sitting here at my desk and have a camera behind me. I also see people on my home and business external cameras all the time not even knowing they are being recorded.
Luckily for this family and any future victims these cops were to brazen to realize there was a camera above them. If there was no camera we would most likely not even know about this beating.

Stephen A. Smith was a better reporter about this incident than some news agencies. I found out from his report, it was street cameras that picked up the cover up. Officers were yelling for a handcuffed man to comply, while he was being beaten to death. One of the officers is picked up, bragging about his "haymakers". How despicable is that. Thank you Stephen A. Never stop being that 'straight shooter'.

My compliment to Mr. Smith, is simply that, I was more informed from his reporting than that of a traditional news network. I will add that I'm glad ESPN continues to drown out, and ignore, those who believe athletes, specifically black athletes, should "shut up and dribble".

@@montecristo3697 the shut up and dribble comment was alluding to a much bigger problem. The fact that we, as a society, value the opinion of those who dedicate their lives to sport, over the opinion of those who dedicate their lives to whatever subject is being talked about. Bo burnham said it best in his joke “hey bo, you are an entertainer. How do we fix Africa?”.
All humans should have the capacity to express whatever opinions they hold. But also realize that someone who dedicated the overwhelmingly majority of their time to basketball, will have a very shallow view on any other subject. Cheers!

@@eduardosantana8300 I absolutely DISAGREE with you. That is indeed the point of "shut up and dribble". Some of you believe, that because a man dribbles a basketball or runs for a touchdown, what could he possibly add to complex discussions and topics? I have a very simple, non complex, easy to understand, two word reply, to that narrow thinking. A LOT. Athletes using their voices, platforms, oftentimes broaden the narrative, as Stephen A did today. And athletes, like Ja Morant today, LeBron James, Shannon Sharpe, Ryan Clark (a 'must listen to' on a plethora of issues), Ali, Kareem Abdul Jabaar, and a host of others, have proven me right. While the shut up and dribble piece was delivered in a rather tyrannical form, I will not throw the baby out with the bath water. The point made still stands tall. I’d love to know what Tim Tebow thinks of global warming. Or lebron thinks of Chinese kids in sweatshops making nikes. All of those opinions I would appreciate, but I would also appreciate real geopolitical scientists and economists have to say on the matter.
We get plenty of screen time with what lebron thinks, I would love more exposure on what the professionals who study these things think. And I’m strongly inclined to believe that the reason why we don’t is because it doesn’t sell. If lebron does anything it will sell, because he is lebron... it’s not his fault, nor is it espns fault (they are a business with the main purpose to generate profit). It is our fault as consumers for engaging in the idolization of people.
I’m not saying lebron shouldn’t speak... I’m saying we as a society should place less value on what he talks outside of basketball, and make room for someone who’s expertise is that very subject being talked about. Cheers mate, I meant no offense!

You and everyone of us know why. Tyre had no criminal history, he never committed any crime in which he was stopped for, no drugs in car, no gun in the car, he was respectful to the cops even after being beaten. This kid was beyond good, he came from a two parent household, good neighborhood, had a full time job with fed x. So there’s no way for the media to point blame on the victim and defend the police. I will say I was surprised they did show it on fox, and they actually did attack the police and well of course they couldn’t attach Tyre’s character “bet they were mad” but they did say the scorpion unit shouldn’t be gotten rid of, it’s easy for ppl who don’t live in that community to say what one should have. This unit has a assaulted other citizens and I will almost guarantee they weren’t white ppl. Funny that white ppl seem to be the only ones calling on the unit to stay, even though more and more stories come out about them. I’m not a racist I know many white ppl side with blacks on many things were more alike than different, but the media likes to play us against each other. We need each other more than we know. More and more white ppl are being killed by these tyrants each and every day. If cops can’t pass a mental health screening they shouldn’t be hired their background and friends and family should be looked into too, we have klan members joining the force, we have ppl with prior assaults joining the force, vets who struggle with ptsd join the force, we’re not safe.

Let’s be honest here. It’s not on mainstream media because the officers are black. They can’t pump it up into a racial issue. The ONLY reason it’s getting the coverage it is… is because it’s the police. Black people treat other black people much worse on a daily basis and you and everyone else couldn’t care less. But get a chance at the police and you’re interested for a minute. Get a shot at WHITE police and you’re all in for months of looting, burning, and rioting. Mostly peaceful though.

I just seen where Tyre worked Haley’s ex and mother of his child. Tyre had a relationship with Haley’s ex and Haley didn’t like that. Haley took a pic of Tyre on the ground and sent it to his ex. All the officers involved went out bad, over this man’s personal issue. So the beating was personal. 😡🥺
