It's pretty cool seeing how the reel for the hose works on the boat while she is swimming underwater. It looks like she is essentially towing or pulling the line as she swims making the wheel turn to release more hose.
I've had the Gator Gill hookah for a few years. It works well, although my pump seems a good deal louder than yours. I do have one gripe: I've contacted the company twice, asking for a replacement manual, and I've heard nothing. Seems odd, as I'd punctured a hose early in my ownership (I foolishly tried to stow the battery clamps on the output hose near the tank - I do think there should be a provision for stowing those), and they were very good about getting me a replacement. My earlier unit came with the Cressi regulators, which I find a bit difficult to keep in my mouth. Perhaps the HOG 2 regulators they ship now are an improvement.
@@saltybushwacker2023 Thank you very much friend for the information, you are very kind to respond to me so quickly. Really, thank you so much. Best regards!!
This is perfect! I don't like to Scuba. I get anxious and intimidated. I actually got to experience underwater the way it should be with this system. No Tank, was perfect
Lol I was like what the heck is this thing for? That is amazing. I’ve already looked into one of the floating ones that are all self-contained. Because we would always be using it on a boat and can’t carry around a heavy battery. As I’m always stating we live in all the springs, so that’s where I would want it at the most. But this is amazing so I’m definitely going to keep this in mind. By the way, I’m also Sandra Michaels. When I use my phone it’s that name. When I’m on my iPad it’s this name. But if you want to get technical, it’s Chef Sandra Evie Lee Michaels!
Awesome.....The lithium iron used for this unit only weighs about 25 lbs which is much lighter than the 70 lead old school batteries. They cost around $300 and run this unit about 3 hours. just recharge in the evening and your ready for the next day!
Gatorgill recommends nothing deeper than 1 atmosphere... which is 33 ft. In my experience with one diver on the system it performs well around 25 - 30 ft.
You have to be careful about the compressor duty cycle. If you accidently over breath and go beyond the compressors rated duty cycle then the Teflon seals/rings on the pistons inside the compressore will begin to get super hot and Teflon off gassing will get into your air stream, not good.
They do not come with a BC hose, but perhaps a SCUBA shop could add one where the regulator attaches. If you gave Gator Gill a call, I'm sure they would give you the best answer. Here is there # (813)857-1676
hey hey wait a sec, they are using a hookah system without bail out tank? Or they have a diver with a serviceable Octo ready? Going into the water without a bail out tank or another diver ... is asking for trouble, those troubles that happen just once. The girl on the first video seems that she's completely alone while having a go pro filming herself or she had someone nearby? Always use a redundant air system to avoid emergency ascents, or go with another diver with the buddy system, things can go wrong pretty fast if there is a compressor/regulator problem in the main air source.
Me gusta, pero para viajar es un poco Incomoda y mucho problemas en los aeropuertos con esa bateria y por otro lado, esa manguera en la superficie con los estúpidos de los jóvenes y sus Jetsky..?
No depth gauge, no watch, no buoyancy control, no backup tank for ascending if it fails, and obviously no basic dive training! What could go wrong?.... 'Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies, farewell and adieu to ladies of Spain.....'
Hey guys hope you enjoyed the video! .....Here is the link for contact info.

Yes, it will release as you need more hose, but I like to have someone tending the reels just in case there is a tangle or other situation
@@saltybushwacker2023 THat's pretty cool. I do wonder though if it is hard to swim if your pulling the line with your body.

Hello, teacher. I'm also working as a diver in Korea It's an honor to meet you through UA-cam

Hogs are much better
Hello from the quiet sunny Ozarks! Another video of value! What psi do you use for air volume? What maintance on pump? Tight lines and bent poles!
I can't remember, but I think it was at 65 psi. I left the unit down south till o get back so I can't check.
Thank you ,, very informative and the video is well done.
Thanks for the support
Need more videos on maintenance, what chemicals to use, filters , setting up the air pressure regulator, spare parts fuses etc
Dude, I watched the video all the way through and I really liked it a lot.Where can I purchase the equipment and what is the price? Thanks a lot.
I just pinned the post that has the # and website info....Gatorgill is awesome

Keith can you put a bigger air tank on that unit
I'm not sure what changes can be made to the unit. Contact Steve at Gator Gill and he will have all the answers!

What a great idea keep up the good work Keith love these videos
Thank you seadog!
Please use dive computers and do Dive course. You can easli get decompression sickness or destroy lungs if some emerge to fast. Safety matters.
absolutely....Our family are all dive certified...Also, gator gill is not to be used below 30 ft. thx for watching

How do you connect the air supply lines to the regulator hose ?
You have to be careful about the compressor duty cycle. If you accidently over breath and go beyond the compressors rated duty cycle then the Teflon seals/rings on the pistons inside the compressore will begin to get super hot and Teflon off gassing will get into your air stream, not good.

I've got a gas Hookah unit, but its so noisy. Would love to see that one in action, looks great. Great video... keep'm coming.
They are awesome and quiet....Thanks for the support!
It is $200 more than hookah max.
neverbused hookah max so I can't compare. was very happy with the gator gill performance though.
