Thank you for this video! This video is way more helpful than the supposed "good" customer service of chase bays. I'm going to try this method of bleeding later. I got their brake booster eliminator kit with their brake bias valve, and was having weak braking problem. Inquired for help, and let's just say their reply was pretty useless.
@@richardosborne7641 sadly, no. I had to return mine. But supposedly, you need a more aggressive pads to run with the chase bays one. Ultimately, I just went with my stock setup
@@shrimp562 hello. I returned my chase bays one, since then, I tried different set up. I'm now running a honed development brake booster adapter which requires drilling higher for leverage. It's working well now with the right pads compound
So with your factory proportion valve there wasn't a lot of power going to the rear? And then with the wilwood proportion valve you was able to get more pressure to the rear is that correct?
I have the same will wood proportion valve. If I turn it ccw it will increase my rear braking correct? My rear brakes are weak . Think the valve is all the clockwise.
“It hurts your face”......Yes it does. Thanks for the push to upgrade!
I don’t know if I should thank you or be angry that your car is making me spend more money haha.
Napp Motorsports lol! I said the same thing when you got the BBK and I wanted it!
Great brake tech. Thanks for sharing.
Hopefully it helps!
Hmm, maybe re-bleed the fronts? I have Dynalites on mine with a 1.6L master and I have no problem locking up the fronts.
Yeah I think I’ll give this a shot

Glad we could help!
Did you ever get your Chase bays set up working right

@@jmirav did you re-drill the hole so that you're leverage is correct on your brake pedal?

I'm having issues with fluid leaking at the front line adapter, any suggestions?
I had to really crank mine down.
I just put this on my car. You really have to crank it together. If it keeps leaking, keep tightening it.
I also had my lines leaking everywhere
Do you hard mount the prop. valve?
No I didn’t. You can but it’s definitely not required.
So with your factory proportion valve there wasn't a lot of power going to the rear? And then with the wilwood proportion valve you was able to get more pressure to the rear is that correct?
I used to be so sure, but I am now 99% sure that you’re correct haha.
Miatas are not balanced the best with their front/rear brake balance. This helps fix this issue

So in order to bleed the valve you have to screw it in all the way
Yup. Figured that out haha. All works now.
Did you notice difference once it was all set up?
How do you like a year after installing it?
I was definitely able to balance the bias out better, especially with the wilwoods up front. I definitely don’t regret it a year later.
don't use teflon on brake lines.
Noted.
I tried using the tape and it stripped my threads
Yikes
@@NappMotorsports I would recommend using the red locktite provided with the FM kit
