They said they fixed that as well in the notes, added in new conversations to renew a re-occuring salary perk when it expires is what Ea posted on it’s notes, hopefully that means we get to choose our contract or where we play

only played this mode once so far lol. i was excited about the option of starting in Europe but that was over after 2 games, still did enough to be no.1 projected pick. ended up going at no.2 to LA Kings instead which I was gutted about as Rangers were No.1 and I’m a big Rangers fan so basically been sulking and not played the mode since. will pick it up at some point and request a trade once it’s possible haha
I got drafted by the Rangers and was offered a contract for 3 years then after my first year there I wanted out cause I placed last in my Division so in the second year I wanted out and got traded to the Blues, Won a Stanley Cup twice in a row now my contract is done and i have been offered a contract extension from the blues and a 5 year contract to the Lightning, but i went with the blues again for another 3 years won a Stanley Cup each year i was there and continued to stay with the blues for the rest of my career, Ive won 24 Stanley Cups in 25 years.

There should be variences in how you get drafted. I enjoyed going for the number one draft pick the first time but wanted to go much lower down, in fact I wanted to start in the minor's and work my way up.

It works from the very start essentially. The conversation can appear within your first few games in the NHL but it'll say asking to be traded is "very risky" and basically not gonna happen.

How do you change numbers after being drafted
Just created a new character and after my first pre season the request unlocked.
If u want a specific team just save the game before requesting trade (specific devision) sim 2 weeks and if it's not the team u want load and repeat (auto save must be off) you have like 1 of 8 chances usually takes me about 4-5 tries at most before I get the team I want

@@santana4833 ya been doing it every year just make sure auto save is not on so you can reload from before you asked to be traded could take a few tries but I always get a few diff teams untill the one I want, some more then others will show more often but eventually you get the team you want

Old but good: I just kept reloading until I got the traded. When you talk to trade, and It fails just close the app and continue again, but honestly I enjoyed running with buffalo.

QUESTION: after your first offseason between juniors and pro, do you stop getting like 15-20 training hours each week? before my rookie season i had anywhere from 15-25 training hours but after my rookie year, in my offseason i got 29 hours at first, then 1-2 hours each time. is that normal or if my file glitching?

My character is pretty much on line "X" on everything except power play, and I play every other game. In NHL 20, my character would have been in the AHL.
I would like to see EA do the following with Be a Pro:
Make it insanely difficult to get 1st or 2nd overall in the draft. On average, people should be a 4th round pick. Include a little random variance with the draft pick as well. You are not drafted a certain position. You are drafted within a certain range of picks.
Make a difficulty setting, where the difficulty (rookie, semi-pro, pro, all-star, superstar) is dependent on what league you are in.
Allow us to start as a 15 year old, either in the junior league, or in Europe, in addition to starting in the Memorial Cup or Champions Hockey League. The issue with this is coming up with jerseys for teams that are not really in the real life Champions hockey League. Maybe only make the teams in the Champions hockey league available in the beginning if you start in Europe, and if you decide to play full seasons, you only get to play the teams in the Champions Hockey League that are from the Swedish, Finnish, Swiss, Czech, German, and Austrian league, but you get to select any team in the Champions Hockey League if you start in the Champions hockey league.
Bring back being demoted to the AHL.
Include every league that is featured in Play Now, in Be a Pro. NHL, AHL, ECHL, all European Leagues, OHL, QMJHL, WHL.
Have the player be invited to All Star Games (NHL, AHL, and ECHL), World Juniors, and World Championships. If you set your character to be from a country that does not have an international team in the game, you will never be invited to World Juniors or World Championships.
Give us more options in free agency than just 2 teams, one being the one you just played for. Not only that, give us the option to negotiate the term.
Make a setting where you are offered a guaranteed NHL contract during free agency or not. If you set it to no, there may be a chance that no NHL team wants you, so you have to sign AHL contracts or European contracts. The teams you can sign is based on a pyramid. You get less NHL offers, and for each league below, you get more offers than the league above. Having a European Contract would be just like if you started playing full seasons in Europe in the beginning. The difference is that you can sign with any European Team, and there is no Champions Hockey League, just so teams that didn't make it in real life can be used, while in the beginning, you couldn't use those teams. While you are not in the NHL, there may be a chance an NHL team may give you a contract during the season.
Include the feature where your player gets demoted to ECHL. You have to really suck to be demoted to ECHL, and the likelyhood that you get demoted to ECHL is higher if you are on an AHL contract. If the AHL team does not have an ECHL affiliate, you get assigned to a random team.

Typically 2 weeks to a month at the most. Also keep in mind the option won’t be there if you’re past the trade deadline

You cannot pick a specific team to be traded to. What you can do is go through the steps without auto save and reload your file until you get the team you want.
Be careful you might be traded to the canucks ive been traded to them like 14 times

EA should bring no movement clause, no trade clause and UFA/RFA contract in the Be a pro.
I disagree with RFA rules. They don’t force RFA rules on players for people who desperately want to play for a different team. I usually just impose RFA rules on myself though since I do like the concept, I just wouldn’t want players to be forced to stay on a certain team, that would kill the experience for them. Maybe an option when you start be a pro would be cool though so you could choose RFA on or off

Am i the only one who's incredibly frustrated with how there's a problem with contracts of other players in be a pro? On my rookie year ovechkin signs with the Maple leafs somehow and every big player on every team is somewhere else... i really wish they would fix this it really ruins it for me.
Since be a pro starts prior to the offseason, everyone’s contract loses one year off of what they have in the base roster. It’s basically the same situation the league would be in if you played a full year in either CHL, as the NHL would sim a year.
