Nice work. I will keep thank you for making my bow a Youth Longbow in Hickory at 45 pounds that will be at worst 0.5 inches off from my actual draw length depending on the handle design. Few other brands were willing to make a single piece Youth bow of similar draw that was not only made in a lower weight, or I would have had to pay as much as an adult bow $1000+ to get the custom weight.
Hi Casey, sorry for the long wait, but your longbow is all glued up. We didn't have any great looking hickory for the limbs so we were waiting on that. We finally got some in and got yours glued up. I should have it finished next week and ship the next. Shane
@@greatplainsbow If you want to do some of the last minute filming of the bow final work you can, I think it is a slightly unique that a fully grown adult at 5 foot 2 inches or 62 inches has such a small actual draw of 24--24.5 inches depending on bows handle design. Actual draw is the draw you have when using a hunting/3D bow in actual situations not just standard target bow draw.
@@greatplainsbow yes sir i have not sharpend one before but looks pretty straight forward enough either its dobbel beveled or single beveled. But its a straight edge with no curves so looks pretty easy to do at least compared to knives i sharpen most of the time 🙂
It’s a Bodnik slick stick and it’s the back lam and the separation is only in the handle and not past the fade-outs. I have some loctite 401 to try. I’d do epoxy but there’s only a 1/16” gap. Already have a replacement thanks to their warranty so no loss either way.
Great video as always. You might want to consider using a mask when working with wood this often. The dust after a while will damage your lungs quite a bit over two or three decades.
Sorry if I hit a nerve. I really like your work, love my take down b Model and just hope you can do your work as long as you enjoy it. I didn‘t mean to be impolite.
The dust is BAD for a lot of people , one of the worst of the North American wood species , hope your dust collector is really good . I reacted bad to it , cannot be around the dust anymore . Good video how you make the limb veneers , nice work .
Beautiful work, thanks for showing your craft and sharing the tradition ✌🎯🦌🦃
Awesome video! Thanks , for sharing your incredible tradecraft
Well Done Nick! GENIUS! I just saw The Hill Style Bow posted on Facebook. Beautiful Bow!
That is fascinating! Thanks, Nik! I love the cedar veneers on my two bows.
Wow! I didn't know how much work you put into the cedar limbs/bows.
Got one Great Plainsman, really a nice looking and shooting one.
Beautiful work thanks for sharing 👍🏼
You are over 1000 congrats 😁😁😁
Looks like a good way of doing it and its obvious it works 😁
Great job gues.
Very demanding process but worth of results!!!

Thanks bud.

We’re getting close! Glenn, thanks for all your support. One of these days, we need to collaborate with you on a broadhead sharpening video.

What type of CA glue do you use?
Stick Fast is the brand we use. We have the thin and medium that we’ll use for different things.
Thanks! I’m wondering - would you trust this for a delamination repair?
It would depend on what was delaminating. If it's the actual limbs then no

@@alexhowarth5670 I bet you could repair that. Send me a pic of the defect

@Christian Klampfer and safety glasses?
Oh, and I will add use goggles at the least seeing you do have the dust collection bin.

@@christianklampfer4746 naw you're all good. We definitely need to do better on the safety precautions
