Being the hiring manager for Area 51 must suck. You finish recruiting all the guards, techs and doctors and then some alien wastes most of your team. You get staffing levels back up to snuff and then a British girl comes in and kills almost all of them. Plus she had help from a guy you hired who turned out to be a mole. Oops!
my favourite game of all time.its nice to know that there are people who play this game so good.i myself have played the missions on perfect agent more than 5-6 times,i never get tired of playing this perfect game
ive never been able to successfully sting Captain Santiago with the Psychosis gun on Perfect Agent! The dude is too quick and accurate, with his double golden magnums, he always got me first lol
I'm genuinely loving your head canon that that guy is captain Santiago. My friends and I always called him Eduardo. In actuality, I think it's the face of Ken Lobb
So he is the Captain Santiago? Wow, for these whole years playing PD I always wondered who Captain Santiago was. Also, that must be the Medical Base 6, right?
@@James-ub7bk at some point I realized that that specific guard was always located there, always came equipped with 2 Golden Magnums, always had the same face model, and sure enough, he guards the Medical Bay, unless you cause a commotion and draw him to you first!
@@alekies BAD IDEA if you draw him out first cause his element of surprise AND he knows where YOU ARE at if you it not aware he's looking for you regardless where you go.
This mission being a post game mission that's a 'prequel' is just an awesome idea. I wish more games did this. Was always 1 of my favorites to play. The music is the most chill in the entire game, you get all these like high energy type tracks, and this one is like, ASMR almost lol. Always relaxes me to hear it, it's my favorite multiplayer music choice for that reason
The LX actually looks a lot like the Golden Gun from the original book "The Man With The Golden Gun" by Ian Fleming - the only difference is that the Golden Gun in that book had "regular" firepower and happened to be lethal simply because Scaramanga always hit his targets perfectly, which basically made it an instant-kill weapon.
@@Peter_1986 Oh, I didn't know that the whole gun made with a golden pen, lighter, cigarette case and cuff-link was made for the movie. Thanks for the trivia.
I am pretty sure the Maian you play as in this mission is actually Elvis himself. You will notice that the Maian is wearing sneakers, which is a distinct characteristic of Elvis, being described as a "terraphile" himself in his in-game bio (check computer in Carrington Institute, Grimshaw's office). Plus, if you check the mission's background it is stated plainly that Maian Protector One is the sole survivor of the hostile planetfall suffered by the Maian delegation.
Curiosity 1: the mission's background also states Protector One's name as "Aelphaeis Mangarae", whose first name is pronounced in almost the same fashion as "Elvis".
Curiosity 2: A51 Rescue briefing text states that, regarding the body in the autopsy (i.e. Elvis himself), "the scientists will try to kill him if they think he's alive or will attempt to damage what they think is a corpse". So it is implied that the scientists believed Elvis to be dead when he's in fact alive. That might explain why the scientist in the end of Main S.O.S. says "grab a body bag". But you know how the conspiracy theory goes: Elvis didn't die. I actually believe this whole Elvis thing in this game is a play on Elvis Presley related conspiracy theories, that he didn't die, that he was actually an alien or some such. There is even an objective in this mission that goes as "Locate Conspiracy Evidence" in which you have to find an alien body in a cryogenic tube.
I'm trying to imagine how online FPS today would be if you could actually disarm players/enemies by shooting the guns out of their hands or something similar to the Disarm mode when unarmed.
Elvis is protector one, the delegation was the ambassador, another protector, and himself. the saucers are said to be single seat, so it's possible they were 3 at first. maybe one was destroyed and those two remained somewhat intact, somehow.
@@archphaeton2632 wait... I get it now! This Maian is the one who has been seen in the Cryo Room where you scan his autopsy on Area 51 Rescue! Why did I thought this was Elvis and the guards just recaptured him. This makes sense now I think.
Turns out my theory is that this isnt Elvis. But another Maian. This one you're playing as is the one from the cryogenic room. Already dead, but takes place before the events.
If you dont rush and let them do the console at the end or something is their an alternative, like crouch wait for dialogue, tranq them after hearing them use the console
Push all the barrels towards the UFO, and add a few Proximity Mine Dragons. If it still doesn't blow up, finish it off with a few bursts of the Dragon.

@@Graslu00 I wonder what the Psychosis Gun's effects would be on human players if it actually did cause a theoretical psychosis to them. The obvious answer would of course be that allies looked like enemies and vice versa, but this would be too easy for the player to adapt to, so it would probably be more random than that, so that you could no longer recognise allies and enemies at all and start to suspect everyone of being a possible enemy and imagine them acting in suspicious ways for various reasons etc (like for example, some friendly characters might appear to point their guns at you even though they "actually" stand idle like normal), which would be a kind of paranoid psychosis.

the dead scientist who came from the dead xD
Grab a bodhi-bag!

The music tho...brings back multiplayer memories. Best soundtrack on the N64 2nd to Goldeneye
God, Graslu. The way Elvis handles himself in your hands is like an alien commando! No wonder they wanted to chop him up and see what makes him tick.

I like how Elvis is like "aah, slept well, time to get up" in the beginning of this mission.
this game aged well
He dealt with all the guys so well except that last guy that sedated him
Best N64 game of all time miss those good old days 😭😭😭😭 I love this game one of my favorites wish I can play it again lol

In the store rooms I'd hide in the gap between crates if critically low on health. This stage can get frantic.
