@@DeckfightersThe western teams aren't even aiming to win worlds though. They are aiming to get out of Swiss. Only G2 is silly enough to think they have any chance of winning worlds which they 100% don't. The other western teams know better.

If my fan expectation was for my team to simply reach top 8, I would personally want them to do so playing against more than just wildcards and western teams. Because honestly why would ANYONE be proud of a top 8 finish where you beat a bunch of bums and lost to the first real opponent? Can you even call that an achievement to be proud of? Not targeting you specifically but moreso any fan with this kind of mentality.
@@Deckfighters Very fair point. Myself and most fans actually want them to do well against strong teams and make it as far as they can while being tough opponents. You're right that it absolutely looks not impressive and just straight up lame imo if they only got far because of luck.
But, reality just hits hard man. I don't know what else to say. We've just given up on such wishful thinking especially seeing how badly the west has performed over the last couple years. As sad as it sounds having such high expectations has led to and will keep leading to disappointment. I personally have no hope in the West not even in G2.
