Go Min-si, Lee Do-hyun are excellent actors! This was a real heartbreaker. The whole drama respectfully showed us a good view of violence which happened in 1980. They represented the people hurt, killled and still missing. Thank you for great entertainment and err... breaking our hearts.
I feel like her death was so peaceful. She didn't even cry or hate the man when she could have all the reasons to do so. She just kept the watch really close and waited patiently. She just accepts her fate. She has no regrets and knows that God will take her with him while waiting for Heetae.
I think it was Heetae's prayer answered. She died knowing that her brother was safe. Like you said, she did not bear grudge or curse anyone as she passed. Unbearable sadness was only for those left behind, not only Heetae but also the soldier who watched her last moments (and lived as a homeless)
Pls... I don't think I'll ever get over the heartbreak if I don't see them lead another drama with a happy ending. That way, I can think that Myunghee and Heetae get together happily in their next lives. :((((((((

So you might think after watching the first episode that you already know what's gonna happen, you might think you would be less hurt since you know the ending already, you might think like me that you've already watched n read so many sad endings until now so it would be nothing but I'm telling you all despite being known you'll be hurt, no matter how many sad ending you'd watched, you'll still be hurt. You'll tell yourself to cry out so that your heart could feel at little ease. Some of you might feel embarrassed so you would try not to cry but your heart would cry. You'll think you would get over it after some days but then months or years later one day you would suddenly remember it n then rewatch it just to bring back those memories n you get back that old pain again, you heart will start to ache again. these things gonna happen repeatedly hence this is called a masterpiece 😿🤧
This episode was too sad , when MyungHee says she can look at the stars while laying down like that 😭 While hold the watch and the letter tightly 🥺 I keep on watching Ep 12 two times today and still crying over it . In my heart , I prefer Myunghee death can be replace with Myungsoo😢That so , I will be less sadder than this 😢
@nini b yes. When we hear carefully. She said she heard grasshopper and she actually wish hwang heetae save at that time. Meanwhile at heetae place the sound of grasshopper not stop and hes save. But suddenly at myunghee the sound of grasshopper stop and she died. So the symbolic of shes not lucky that night but the grasshopper grant her wish.
Lee siblings are alive, they are probably trying to live with the trauma. Jung tae becomes a psychiatrist, and well Hwang ki nam deserves to be left in the past.
This ending is so unfair and so predictable, where is the twist in this??? I thought it would twist to a happy ending as everyone had been saying it’s going to be a bad ending!
Unfortunately you can't really expect a twist in a drama thats about representing the pain victims of the uprising still feel to this day. I think the ending was actually quite beautiful because HT's love is still strong and it shows how so much had been lost in the uprising yet his love wasnt.
by the way, this is something that happened in real life 41 years ago. with a happy ending it would be unrealistic. people lost their loved ones during this uprising

처음에 저거 시계 같은거 죽은사람 발견할때 가지고 있었다고 나오는데 마지막화에서 등장인물들이 계속 시계를 가졌다가 다른사람이 가지고 있다가 이래서 엄청 긴장됬었는데 시계 쥐어주는 장면보고 결국 명희가 죽는구나 … 라고 생각함
뒤늦게 이 드라마 봤는데 왜 사람들이 이도현.고민시 좋아하는지 알겠더라
고민시 죽어가는 장면이 잊혀지지가 않는다 가슴아프다

You'll tell yourself to cry out so that your heart could feel at little ease. Some of you might feel embarrassed so you would try not to cry but your heart would cry. You'll think you would get over it after some days but then months or years later one day you would suddenly remember it n then rewatch it just to bring back those memories n you get back that old pain again, you heart will start to ache again.

This episode was too sad , when MyungHee says she can look at the stars while laying down like that 😭 While hold the watch and the letter tightly 🥺 I keep on watching Ep 12 two times today and still crying over it . In my heart , I prefer Myunghee death can be replace with Myungsoo😢That so , I will be less sadder than this 😢
@nini b yes. When we hear carefully. She said she heard grasshopper and she actually wish hwang heetae save at that time. Meanwhile at heetae place the sound of grasshopper not stop and hes save. But suddenly at myunghee the sound of grasshopper stop and she died. So the symbolic of shes not lucky that night but the grasshopper grant her wish.
i wonder what happened to the other characters? like what happened to the Lee siblings? to Hwang Kinam? Jungtae and his mother?
Lee siblings are alive, they are probably trying to live with the trauma. Jung tae becomes a psychiatrist, and well Hwang ki nam deserves to be left in the past.
Lee siblings still live, suryeon being a law student, heetae being doctor, myungsoo and jungtae live too. But i don't know jungtae's mom

This ending is so unfair and so predictable, where is the twist in this??? I thought it would twist to a happy ending as everyone had been saying it’s going to be a bad ending!
Unfortunately you can't really expect a twist in a drama thats about representing the pain victims of the uprising still feel to this day. I think the ending was actually quite beautiful because HT's love is still strong and it shows how so much had been lost in the uprising yet his love wasnt.
by the way, this is something that happened in real life 41 years ago. with a happy ending it would be unrealistic. people lost their loved ones during this uprising
