  • The amazing Gap-filla. Prop Monkey Studio shipped me this product last year to test it out.
    After working with it I couldn't wait to tell all the other makers about it! This product is a game changer in the when it come to working with foam.
    Everything I used on this build.

    Everything looks so easy when Evil Ted does it :)
    I would probably glue myself to the helmet in 4 places

    Yeah Ted, you really blew Thomas' mind by making that build off his template. To him and myself you are one of the "Big Names" in cosplay foam building.

    You did a fantastic job on this entire build, but that lens part was really awesome. I want to try that myself!

    Love the settings & product details for using creature cast! These products look interesting. I've already used some of prop monkeys other products like rapid fill & fine finish and loved them.

    The gap-filla seems to work very well. Usually for seams I use caulking or something like that and even after it's totally smooth you can still see it after paint. the texture just isnt the same. This will be a good option now. Getting some!!

    Do you recommend using Plastidip before I paint my foam armor? Or I’m I good with just spraying Foam seal by TnT or the other Monkey primes they sell… also, should I brush with acrylic paint or spray? Thanks so much for this video! You’re amazing!!

    Ted do you recommend the Prime over something like Creature Cast for sealing foam? Is there a better one if the two?

    • @EvilTedSmith
      @EvilTedSmith  2 роки тому

      It’s not necessary, but I’d like to when I’m working on something it needs to be mechanical and smooth looking.

    you may not get any credit for purchases of Gap Filla as the link seems to be broken. it goes to the TNT site, but then says 'page cannot be found'

    • @quemeese

      I think I may have been able to fix it on my end for my order. I noticed that the URL for the Prime had a tag at the end '?ref=evilted'. so I added that to my bookmark for the Gap Filla, and then did my order.

      That always happens when Ted or another Maker makes a video about a product. It'll be hard to find for 2-3 weeks after the video comes out, and then stock and demand will normalize.
