The BIG Problem is Mr. Gordhan has to first consult his party the ANC. They then need to consult COSATU and the ANC. All of them would then come up with their own preference depending on what their fiscal and ideological motives would be. Too much consulting going on. As time goes by + politicians take a more prominent role in eskom, SA sees less + less transparency in all spheres of life. With enough expertise available in SA, it should not take this long to appoint someone. With 3 ministers having a say in the power utility's, it seems a bit of an over kill while, eskom is in a fragile state + in dire need of direction to sort out it's technical problems.
