I think the halo effect around the sun is caused by ice crystals in the air. I could be wrong, though.
Called a sun dog.
4:46 - Rotten sub floor material covered by what looks to be engineered click together "hardwood" floor. Commonly done by house flippers and cheap remodel companies to cover up water damaged sub floor material. You can tell by the way the floor flexes just prior to the break... that sub floor material is mush! ...and if it's your house, and the floor starts to feel spongy and flex like that, you have some serious damage going on in your floor (typically water damage causing either de-lamination of the sub floor material or rot/dry rot), get someone to come have a look at it before this becomes your life as well! Incidentally, the click together flooring isn't bad and is a good cost-effective floor...however, your floor is only as good as the material it's built upon....
1:06 "is that car made out of plastic?" Actually most (if not all) front bumpers nowadays are. It's just safer during accidents, cheaper to produce and weigh less. Also you'd be surprised how strong cans are in that direction. You can lower an entire car on to 1 can per tire if the cans aren't dented. But as soon as you even put a tiny dent in to the wall the entire can collapses under the weight. I could go in to detail explaining how the forces get distributed and what makes a cylinder so strong in that direction but i'm to lazy to pull out the textbook again
3:13 Cats are ambush predators, if their prey seems them coming most cats will disengage to try again later. If you ever encounter a big cat that tries to eat you (such as a mountain lion, fortunately we don't have them in the UK), do not turn your back to it. The second you do, it will try to pounce on you and you're going to have a bad time.
You know what's else on fire?your video!!, thank you for today video as well ❤
aww thank you so much!!!
Yeah tornados don't give much warning, now is a lot better but my dad told me in our city we had a either an F4 or F5 (maybe it became F5 later) in 1953 that came from Michigan and tore up the downtown area. We never get tornados so nobody expected that and now we have sirens incase we get another one. There is an hour long documentary on youtube Moment in History's, "The Tornadoes of 1953" that has survivors talk about it and pictures of the before and after.
oh thank you!!! ill have to give it a watch!
6:40 it isn't a bug. Gas tank lids have over pressure valves inside them. When the tank warms up (for example in the sunlight) the fluid gasoline turns in to gas wich takes up more room. In order to keep the tank from bursting there is an over pressure valve that opens at a safe pressure to prevent the build up of too much pressure. This specific valve seems to be a membrane valve. There is a rubber flap inside it that gets hold closed by the atmosphere and/or a spring and gets pushed open by the pressure inside the tank. If the pressure is just barely enough to open the valve it causes to open and close quickly wich causes this sound
8:09we truly live in a Minecraft world
I'm binge watching
just in time
Happy Friday Fenn
Glad you like them!
Considering beavers are rodents, I think the rodent problem in NYC is really getting out of hand xD
Tornadoes are unpredictable, I once had the fortune of looking up into a tornado that had broken up over our neighborhood and saw the circulating debris as it went over my house. I wasn't aware what it was at the time, but this tornado had already damaged some businesses on the far side of the town and after it passed over us it dropped down and did damage to another neighborhood not too far away. No one was hurt and the fact that my home was undamaged and that I myself was not caught up in the gusts as it went over my head is absurdly lucky, but it was a learning experience... sometimes you don't even know a tornado when it's right on top of you.
omg that sounds so scary!!! Glad you were okay though!!
Tornadoes are crazy. What boggles my mind is the pictures of neighborhoods hit by tornadoes where one side of a street is pristine and untouched while the other side is completely leveled
You are so cute and wholesome! I am a new subscriber!
Was this what you were trying to do yesterday on stream before we hijacked the stream?
haha not exactly! I tend to keep recording these separate from streams so I can have more of a back-and-forth with chat and conversations
@@fennryn oh ok, then I won't be apologetic about spreading the greatness of the US of A in your stream
