*The next train to arrive on platform number four does not convey passengers, please do not board this train.* Then someone tries to get into the driver’s cab, lol Anyway, good video.
everybody's previously talked about the Petrol Tankers in the underground, well i'm sure empty or full tanks have been hauled under overhead wires around Sydney in the outdoors for years so they would necessarily spark if they were "built" properly. having said that on that weekend wouldn't management have been aware those particular trains would be made up of empty or full tanks during that weekend and that it would be permissible for those particular trains to run given the risks of an petrol accident or derailment in the underground would be reduced by the precautions outlined?
@@bwDVD Damn I knew I shouldn't have blinked. BTW, when I was a fireman at DELEC Enfield we had a regular trip job up the North Shore line at night. There used to be company sidings at St Leonards on the down side. 48 class loco with a few wagons.
these are the very rare times that freight like these had traveled underneath the city circle lines but only rarer back in the day
Interesting seeing the commissioners train.
fantastic video
Exactly 30 years ago as of tomorrow (Monday).

The video title is misleading as there are no 46 class electric loco's to be seen at all.
Go to 1.45 and you will see three of them passing through Wynyard.
