In the early 90s my friend and I went from London, England to visit the ranch in Hurricane Mills. I was 25 years old and we cheekily crept upto the tour bus us for a foto. A member of gardening staff told us we shouldn’t be so close to the house, we told him we came from England to see the home of Loretta so he let us take a foto of the bus and he went into the big house. He informed Loretta what we were doing and she promptly came outside and thanked us for coming and we did a foto with her. She was so kind and generous with her words, she was very interested in me and asked me lots of questions about myself, showing genuine interest and friendliness. I went away from there feeling like I had made a new friend. I went all around Tennessee for a week telling anybody who would listen that I had met Loretta Lynn. RIP wonderful lady. From England.

She had that special way to make anyone in her company feel like family or friend...she was genuine and really adored her fans. I remember her saying how much she loved being in England and meeting her fans there. I had the chance to visit England in 2018, and stayed in Wembley where she played back in the late 1960's. The venue is still in operation and I felt honored to stand next to it.

I wish I could have met her. I wasn't that lucky and of course now I never will. But even just watching her on video or on stage, you could feel that positive energy and warmth radiating off her. It's hard to explain, but I never experienced that, especially to such an extend, with any other person. She really was something special.
Whenever I'd feel bad, I'd go and watch a video clip of her because she could always make me smile. She'd do things that would drive me crazy when other people did them, like call everyone honey and overuse (by my European standards) "love". But with her everything came across as so genuine. I think she knew no strangers, only friends. We all lost our friend Loretta.

@@mchobbit2951 So true ! She was as real and genuine as they come ! She and my mother's family are so similar, so I identify with her big time and feel like she was almost family in a distance way. She was indeed a special soul and seems destined for what she did. She brought joy !

I'd like to thank all of the TV programs that are reporting the passing of such an icon with respect and dignity. As a life-long fan, her TV performances are what I remember the most as a child. Then I had the chance to meet her twice and she had a way of making everyone feel like family despite her legendary achievements.

Of all singers out there, Loretta was one of those rare Earth Angels who reached true Legend Status. Her gifts to the world will be remembered for generations to come. I hope she and Patsy are having a great reunion.

Loretta Lynn was one of the last of the greats who now sing in Heavenvwith Jesus. Hee last words John 16 vs 21. Read it if for no other reason out of respect for the talented, beautiful Loretta Lynn. Not many of the greats at the end of their days thought of and sent a scripture as her last words. May those who read it take heed. God is coming and sooner than we think. May Loretta lynn rest in Jesus arms tonight worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. I pray when my turn comes either in death or the rapture I hear the angelic voices of Loretta Lynn. She was a guest at the Tommy Hunter show in the 1980s and I believe we met there. God bless her. Anyone who reads her last words from John 3 vs 21 need to get right with God because our time is coming. God bless every one reading hear and her family: friends and fellow performers as we miss Loretta lynn ❤ 🙏

Loretta Lynn,The Undisputed Queen Of Country Music, passed away at the ripe old age of 90 on October 4th,2022 at her home in Hurricane Mills,Tennessee. Loretta Lynn was born April 14th,1932 in Butcher Holler,VanLear County,Kentucky the second child and eldest daughter of Melvin and Clara(née Ramey )Webb. The daughter of a poor coal miner and sharecropper Loretta had no formal childhood education. She learned how to work hard at a very young age doing farm chores and helping her mother care for her younger siblings. Doolittle Lynn taught his new bride how to read and write and encouraged her to use her musical talents. Their marriage lasted 48 years until Oliver’s passing in 1996. Their marriage was also blessed with six children all of whom grew up to be musicians or singers. Doolittle bought Loretta her first guitar for her 26th birthday and encouraged her to play the songs she had written for local rodeo clubs and dance halls. Oliver’s encouragement kick started what would be become a successful, long and profitable career making her one of the first female megastars in music history. She was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1962,the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1988,and the Country Gospel Hall of Fame in 1999. She was inducted into the National Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008 and received the Grammy Awards Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 marking her 50th anniversary in Country Music.
