Thank you so much!! You describe things in the best way that makes so much sense to my brain! I finally understand! Also thanks for saying how many strands and why! You are an incredible teacher, I hope you never quit!! ❤️
Thank you for demonstating these! I am an embroidery newbie but compared tot the first options the stem stitch mimics the flow/stroke of a pen best. Worth the extra effort it seems if you use a handwriting font.
thanks for this! I'm making something for mother's day, and I've been trying to decide between chain and split stitch for my letters! this was super helpful
With a stem stitch, I find how it's going to look on a curve depends on whether the cotton is looping on the inside or outside of the curve. Outside tends to hold the shape better. Just from my personal experience with this
Hello. I want to embroider initials on the foot bottom of a stuffed animal. Do you have any suggestions on how I start and what is the best stitch to use. Thank you.
I use it for shirts that are made of thin or stretchy fabric! If you’re stitching on linen or denim, something a bit sturdier, you normally don’t need it.
Very good instruction. I never know how many strands to use. Now I understand. Thank you.

What type of fabric are you using?
Cotton canvas in this example!
When you start a stitch such as the chain stitch do you tie a knot in the beginning?
Love this video. Can I ask what marking pen you used to write the lettering before you began to embroider ?
Thank you! It's a Leonis water soluble pen.

Hey there! If the stuff animal is already made it may be a bit challenging but I’d say the back stitch or stem stitch would be a great place to start!

are you using all 6 strands of floss?
I believe I was for this example!
do you need stabilizer fabric for shirts? I see some have it and some dont and i dont know why or if i need it

Beautiful 💕💕🌹🌹

Did you write those letters yourself or use a font and trace them? If so, what font do you use? Thanks!
I hand drew them! But Canva is a great program to use for fonts if you're looking for some to use. :)
@@crewelghoul How would you use Canva to be able to trace the letter onto the canvas?
👌
It would help if you gave measurements or at least estimate of the length of the stitch instead of saying space.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to add more detailed information in future videos.
