Ekko Inni Meg an absolute whooper Btw Drøm D Bort has quite a deep meaning, the nananana resembles a dreamy child lullaby. The child uses it to drown out the bad things they've experienced in their life. For me it has a really powerful anthemic quality
Yeah I already sensed that the lyrics had quite some meaning and I get the idea, but they could have just used it to introduce the chorus and then actually have lyrics in the chorus instead..
The song by Sandra Lyng has very strong and sad lyrics. The story is about a little girl hiding in a closet because their is violence going on in her house. She hides and look at a screen with music on her ears playing so high that she can’t hear. She makes up this fantasyworld and sings along on the Na, Na, Na! And in the last verse she sings about the girls strength. And the lyric change from telling about this girl to herself. She is that girl! And the Na, Na, Na, is so that we can breath!
The lyrics are awesome and the idea is as well, I still think it would be better to keep the na na na's only in the bit leading up to the chorus and then have some actual lyrics there. For people who don't speak the language it would then als probably make a bit more sense without losing the idea of the song
We norwegians can understand what the lyrics means, but if the foreign listeners can't decipher what the lyrics means, they will probably just hear the lalalala and not understand how that is relevant. It is a good song, but I don't think it will do that well in esc
I actually like Elsie Bay’s entry this year much more than last year’s after 10+ listen (which quite surprised me) especially the classical music touch of the melodies and arrangement.
I read Look at my waist as being similar to look at my hips, so basically just showing off her body. I think people are just overthinking it. I agree that there are only really 3 options in this heat (which means there is even more chance for a big upset if one of the other 4 get in). Sandra Lyng had so much potential because I really like her voice and the sound of the song but the chorus lets it down so much
I agree about Elsie, it was not something I liked last year and this years song isn't much more to my taste. I much prefer both Sandra and Ulrikke, and I'm curious to hear Tirils song next week too. Anyways, my favorite this semi is Sandra. She sings a song that is extremely heavy and personal in a Northern Norwegian dialect, and it just really hits me perfectly.

Jone for a win!

@@josefine7095 Exactly! This is the difficulty with singing in your native language and selling a story. You need to kind of convey it without words.
Elsie Bay’s entry this year is stronger than her previous effort imo. The best ballad we have in the NF so far, it’s just magical

Sandra/Ella Jone and Elsie.Pretty please.😊waist has wonderful beat indeed. Ekko inni meg is my favourite.
The portuguese songs will be announced via Instagram live starting at 11h30 (12h30 CET) (19th Jan). 🙂
Wonderful, can't wait!!
My qualifiers 3 ekke inni Meg 2 waist 1 love your In a dream
I love FUEGO, ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You definitely won't be the only one, these types of songs always has a fanbase that loves it!
Just isn't necessarily my cup of tea..
Elsie bay love your dream masterpiece my winner of heat 2 maybe winner mgp 2023
Drøm D Bort. Remember not all songs needs lyrics. Heck Norway even won Eurovision with a song with barely any! :D
No I agree, but something like 'nanana' is kind of a lyric on it's own which rarely works for me
Roy Denmark releases it's songs on the 19th at 9:30 and Portugal at 12:30. From heat 2 the only ones I like are Jone's and Ella's songs:(
Thank you very much!
The lyrics of Ella's song will make sense on the stage
Idk I didn’t find “shut up and watch my waist” weird even as an American. I get it she’s like shut up and watch me dance lol
I read Look at my waist as being similar to look at my hips, so basically just showing off her body. I think people are just overthinking it.

Yeah idk, waist is such an uncommon word to use in songs so I guess it just sounded a bit out of place, I get the sentiment

Tiril is going to be so interesting! The snippet sounds amazing!
Wait, how is that a trap beat lol
Damn you're right, I was excited by the hi-hats and never checked while editing cuz I was in a rush 😭
I and this series is officially a fraud now..
hey! unrelated but you re so cuteee :)))
This semi is the weakest of the three semi finals.
My Qualifiers:
Elsie Bay, Jone and Ella
Don't understand why you find the 'Waist' lyric odd? She says "Shut up and watch my waist"
How does he find "shut up and watch my waist" to be a weird lyric? Like,, shut up and look at how Im dancing. That doesn't seem weird to me.
Just an odd and uncommon way to word the meaning I guess
the nanana is just annoying
Elsies voice just sounds annoying nothing changed. The melody is nice though
