For the record I've gone back and forth with Erick on these issues. Which is can the pope be a formal heretic, can a pope teach heresy in his official capacity. He and I have opposite position on this.
Erick on this clip answer "yes" to both questions. I would say "no" to both.
On whether the pope can be a formal heretic, Luke 22:31-32 seems to safeguards the pope from being a formal hereitc (while being a material heretic is in the realm of possibility in light of doctrines which are very obscure by mystery such as the trinity and predestination).
On whether the pope can teach heresy in his official capacity.... This is about non-ex-cathdrea teaching. So Erick believes that outside of ex cathedra, but still in his official capacity, the pope can teach heresy. Many people, especially rad trads and sede, would believe this. But if we read dogmatic books from Van Noort, George D. Smith, Sacra Theologiae Summa and even Catholic Encyclopedia, there's a general safety to official teachings of the Church that bind the faithful. Such that promulgation of universal discipline, such as canon law and universal Church catechism are infallible, in the sense that it would not contain heresy. This doesn't mean they can't be confusing, burdensome and the like.
I go deeper into this (and also Erick), but I just feel the need to say the above here.

It is a lovely position to consider. Terribly difficult to defend.

@@ChristianRescue I start with revelation (bible and Tradition) not with presupposition.
      Are you a sede?

“Especially rad read and sede would believe this” - sedes reject it. It’s why they’re sede.

It seems to me that Erick is striving to be more consistent with the first millennium while Michael is trying to be more faithful to Vatican I

Thank you Erick Ybarra for your clarification. This video clarify your disagreement with Reason and Theology Michael Lofton and explain why he blocked you. Would you be open to have a public debate with Michael Lofton on neutral venue maybe hosted by Matt Fradd or Trent Horn? God bless my brother 🙏

I disagree with Erik thatv everyone was walking around "with theirb swords out" in the first milenium. If you read the letters between St Cyril and Nestorius for example, they showed each other a lot of respect and it was only after getting down to the bottom of what was meant that they anathematozed each other. In other words, they both felt they struck formal heresy in the other's perspective. To my knowledge this is the norm in the forst millennium
