Yo Freiheit, I was wondering if you knew how to make a certain sound. It's the sort of screetchy wobble bass thing at around 1:00 in Ectoplasm by Eptic and MUST DIE!. EH!DE and other artists use it quite a bit too.
+SupraSwag10 uses fm and an LFO, best done in serum get a sine wave, add some fm from B and make that liek a square or triangle or whateva best sounds, pitch it like 3 octaves up or down, again whateva sounds best, turn the amplitude of OSC B down to zero, lfo the FM from B amount

How do you make make that orchestra hit sound at the end? Subs like saw and sine waves in unison and out of tune slightly. Anyone got a patch for it in either Sylenth, Serum, Massive, Razor, FM8, or Operator?

hey at 2:10 when you say to map in the macro settings. when i first map them the maximum value for both a and b start at 1.00 ? when you first mapped it your maximum value was automatically 100.00. do you know how i fix this?
on fm8 hit comfigure then touch the numbers and it will show up besides fm8, then you can now click map and then mapp the fader that appeared besides fm8
yeah man i mapped everything correctly thats why I'm kinda stumped. as soon as i map the routings their maximum value on my computer is 1.00 and on yours its 100.00 do you know any way i can fix this . idk why i can't increase my maximum value and why its automatically at 1.00?
Treezbeats nevermind i figured it out. i guess my ableton just displays it as 1.00 instead of 100.00. i mapped everything the same as you and it worked great. much love! great tutorial!

That's kind of dumb not to be able to convert simple operations like these between DAWs... no offence but really. You don't need the exact same gear to make similar stuff. Unless you want 100% copy of the sound - then you're just a copycat.
The main problem is you don't have access to those macro assignments. I would suggest you to map an XY controller to control the fm8 patch that basically consist in pitch bending and modulation amount control. And maybe you can keep using it for other effect instances. Alternatively you have to mess around with the math tab in the automation linking if you want to control everything in a row.

Why not learn both? Wavetable synths are freaking awesome, don't give up on serum just cause FM 8 exists.

well 100 means the max wet on FM8 rout will go, maybe you mapped something other than the routing
