My mom constantly calls me a thrifty person. When i buy a product i analyze it based on it's usage. Example, if i am going to use it daily then i buy a high quality product no matter the cost but of-course try and get it in offer. If i am going to use it for a short period of time then i compromise in the quality. If it is a one time use then for sure i try to borrow it from someone only buy it in the worst case scenario. This rule of mine helps me a lot in saving money. The age of the things i own: 1. Mobile - more than 4 years old and it;s my first mobile bought it for 13k in my 7 years of work life. 2. Backpack - more than 5 years old, it's a premium wild craft bag. 3. Shoes - one formal (5 years old), one semi - formal(daily wear, so once in two years), one sports shoe(3 years old) 4. Laptop - close to 9 years old - upgraded ram and software, serves my purpose very well. 5. Watch - close to 11 years old still working fine, it's a daily use so premium brand.

Invest in services that save your time. This I really did not understood fully. May be I still have to evaluate the value of my time. So far, I have followed if you know how to fix it and make yourself then do it. Each service comes at a cost. A penny saved is penny earned. Plus it gives two additional things like satisfaction/happiness that you did yourself and a diversion/break from normal routine. Of-course not everything and every time that I try to do myself.
Following your advice will bring lot of discipline to day to day life. I should have started following you 10 years back. But better late than never! Thank you very much for all your work.

Never do transaction between days. 12.Repairing thing - I bought iphone 1576 days before, i.e 4years 5 months. Happy to see, 33% of rich people policies i already had followed, try to follow rest of rules.
