In this short, there are doppelgängers of people from the original South Park universe coming from an evil universe. Eric Cartman's 'evil' doppelgänger ended up being nicer, which meant the original Cartman is evil. His friends and everyone preferred the evil one more than the original and tried to send the original back to the evil universe, which they ultimately failed at.

I love that they split the screen every time both Cartmans were in the frame. It's based on an old film splicing trick used by studios that had a single actor play multiple characters on screen at the same time.

I love that they did the tilted split screen effect, spoofing cheap/poorly done evil twin episodes, but still managed to have Good Cartman leak over the split, when he was being erased 😂
Plot twist: Alternate Cartman actually was evil, way worse than Real Cartman, but he spends the episode pretending he's good so everybody else will like him and send the Real Cartman back... which they do here.
That's why Cartman is way worse in later seasons.

The one on the right pretended to be the Reversed Universe Cartman so they would send the Cartman on the left back to the Reversed Universe.
