This is definitely one of those pauper decks where if you described the game plan to someone unfamiliar with the format they wouldn't think it was that powerful. You get so much card advantage though that it's actually pretty nuts just how consistent it kills.
This is my favorite pauper deck, and I even made a version in modern and recently a legacy (wip) deck to include Radstorm! talk about poison in 1 turn haha
Don't forget you can proliferate OP's creatures once you put a serrated arrows counter on them😎 I came super close to playing a sandstone needle too. Ive actually been testing a couple simian spirit guide too. And ive liked muddle the mixture over some sb counters. I also play 2 extra prologue in sb. Counterspell decks sometimes target our infect cards.
I did know this, did I miss it in the video? I saw the highlighted possibility several times throughout but they were +1/+1 counters. Yeah, I like the idea of Needle. I’m not so sure about Spirit Guide. Muddle is a fine inclusion in my opinion but I would want to keep Bring the Ending. That card over performed.
If I'm not misunderstanding, you missed a really sweet interaction in your matches against Goblin Combo! Your instant speed proliferates break up the combo, because you can proliferate the -1/-1 counter on Putrid Goblin in response to the First Day of Class trigger! Still, this was a blast to watch!
that second game in round 3 was quite something haha Your opponent scooping early and you missing one poison proliferate at 40:50, just to cumulate in a very close ending
i think the reason a lot of lists run five is because many of those players are playing the deck closer to a control deck than a combo deck. stuff like weather and serrated arrows just read like control pieces in here
@@TheEPICStorm So it was literally splashing about like a flounder? Not going down quickly like a foundering ship? Sorry, this is one of my largest pet peeves.

I’ve played this deck a lot and I can say that it is a slow win con, you have to focus on being resilient. It’s very easy to misjudge a situation and end up not being quick enough or no sequencing cards correctly and end up whiffing. It’s fun, but it’s not easy lol
The other poison storm player at my LGS has an abacus with colors labeled for floating mana along with poison and storm count to keep track of it. I've been fiddling with spindowns, but my abacus just came in the mail (also good for counting spells for "we have ruby storm at home"), so let's goooo!
I don’t think so, untapped mana is so huge and another tap land isn’t what this deck needs I think. It’s not an awful idea, but it won’t be as useful in practice I believe.
Round 4 game 2 you missed a proliferate at 40:45 ua-cam.com/video/ImoWnofr8Fs/v-deo.htmlsi=kYuriCAB8YpL_2d6&t=2445, so they might have scooped bc of that? Also, round 2 game 1, why not weather the storm? If they can cast their deck, don't you outgain them? Or is it bc of makeshift munitions?

Virtual card advantage as well since creature removal is dead
Totally missed that you get to level up your depletion lands in the intro. Cool to see in action! sweet deck
Big agree!
Very fun to watch that final turn m4

Yes. When you were using serrated arrows you were then proliferating and not adding -1/-1 counters. Easy to miss but it's busyed!
Super cool deck - did not disappoint!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh thats nice
Absolutely love this deck. One of my favorites in pauper.
Love to hear it
I bught the deck and played a league.Faced a lot of refurbished familiars, and deep analysis was great against those!
True! This was recorded pre-MH3 for what its worth

Maybe!
The faeries match up is definitely where you bring in Serrated Arrows. Even Augurs won't survive the proliferate, it locks them out of the board.
I know that now
Super cool to see proliferate in a 60 card deck
It really is!
It’s founder (meaning to sink like a foundering ship), not flounder. To flounder means to flail, to founder means to sink.
I believe I meant as in to flail?

cardmarket also played the same deck :)
cool
Between Chalice and the depletion lands, this deck looks _hard_ to play over the board
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I saw a lot of other names when making my list!
