- Kansas City Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy had two of the biggest receptions for KC in its 17-10 road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
KC Star reporter Jesse Newell and Brett Taveau - longtime high school offensive coordinator and author of Chiefs book "Unpacking Greatness" - take a closer look at Worthy's routes and how he got so open vs. L.A.
The coaches certainly helped him, as did quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce (twice). Now the question becomes: Will the Chiefs have to lean on Worthy more with receiver Rashee Rice injured?

Worthy should have had 2 TDs but Mahomes missed him in the 2nd half inside the 25 yard line, Mahomes was under pressure I think he just didn't see him but Worthy was open for an easy TD.
Mahomes had a throw vs Atlanta several years ago where it had 71 or so air yards. He can throw it farther. The problem is he’s been inconsistent

worthy was wide open when he threw that int! mahomes keeps forcing the ball in bad spots! if he threw it to worthy we would have had like a 30 or 40 yard gain and Rice wouldn't be hurt smh!
Idk bro... I think Mahomes and the Gang are just toying with us... tryna save all the elite shxt for the playoffs... I don't think they're tryna get too exposed.. that way, the defense won't see how we're coming in the postseason.. it's brilliant, bt still annoying asf
