Very nice doctor! Thank you! You covered the usually akiiped over parts that I wanna know: - call quality, - is it comfortable and for how long? - does it pair with 2 devices at the same time? - does the bad become irritating?

I use Sentien Audio and due to the perfect design I can wear it all day without any problem. 60 min of charging will give me 24 hours of battery life

Hey Doc. I use a pair of aftershockz with my phone and another with my computer. It was to much of a PITA to change back and forth when a call came in. They both work really well for me even though a recent visit to the Dr. confirms that my hearing has deteriorated to the point that they claim that conventional in the ear aids won't help me. I've searched unsuccessfully for bone conduction aids in light of the success I've had with my two bone conduction head sets. Are there any out there that I may have missed in my search? Their only recommendation was implants which I'm not in favor of since I have found what i have to be satisfactory except for conversation. I'm not overly concerned about appearance since I'm nearly78 and never was much to look at anyway.

Did you ever find a pair that has pass through sound?

Nope, wound up with conventional hearing aids which are outrageously expensive and suck.@@lf8599

Hi Dr. Cliff, I do not think you answered the question of "Better than Shokz"? Shokz had a new top end product out earlier this year, Open Run Pro. Maybe you've tried them? If not, would you subjectively say the Haylou's are significantly better than the previous 3 years old Shokz model, Aeropex? Unlike for pure audiophiles, for those with hearing loss (like me), any price difference of +$50-100 is hardly going to matter against the desire & opportunity for hearing (music, audio-pods, phone calls etc.) as best as possible. Appreciate your comments & conclusion. Thank you.

Really good. I'm going to get this pair based on your recommendation and keep my beats wireless with me. I've been in search of something that can withstand my workouts, so this will be my workout pair. Can't wait to try

Hi Dr. Cilff, thanks for this video and all your videos which are always informative. Can bone conduction headphones be used in lieu of ear level hearing aid maskers for sound therapy treatment (for someone who has Tinnitus with no hearing loss)? Ear level maskers are quite pricey compared to bone conduction headphones, so would be good to know options. Thanks

TOZO over ear headphones do not have a band. Reportedly have good sound. Have an innovative clutch mechanism making them fit better. Reportably very compfortable

Both Shokz and Haylou are not designed for hearing impaired individuals, but for sports use. Haylou is close to Shokz, but it can still improve, such as waterproof grade, MP3 mode, and wearing comfort. In these aspects, the Wissonly Hi Runner I am currently using perform better.

Hey doc fun fact so a few years ago aftershockz made a video with testimonials from people who are actually deaf or had ear problems where they couldn't wear actual headphones and used the aftershockz instead it's still here on UA-cam in case you were curious 😁

My late wife was born with bilateral atresia of the ear canals. Surgical attempt to fix the problem on the ear with most severe atresia failed as the bon quickly grew back, and no further attempt was made. During the mid 60s, there were no consideration given to using a sent because of the risk of infection then. Rextron h a ey glasses like product which was actually a bone conducting hearing aid in which the transducers were at the end of the dear pieces. It did not work very well.

Can my sleeping wife hear them? My wife can hear the music I play thru my hearing aids. And the quality is poor thru them as well.
I go to work early (5-7am) and like to listen to music.

I have single sided hearing loss due to an acoustic neuroma. Would these help me in social situations? I can’t engage in conversations when at dinner with friends or anywhere there is a high level background noise. If not I’m considering gettin by bycross hearing aids because I now am experiencing hydrops in my good ear. Thank you

Have bought several hearing aid devices for my dad but none of them seem to work well. I would be inclined to test a bone conduction solution so it is a shame there is no hearing aid function built in to the Haylou.

My hearing loss is in the auditory nerve between my inner ear and brain. So I would guess that this type of headphones would not make much difference for me.

  • @MelvinOhio

Why can’t bone connecting head phones have sound pickup device same as a traditional hearing for picking up the sound around you? Then transfer that to bone connecting head phones. I think that there is a lot of money to be made for the person could make this. I don’t have resources or knowledge to do this. I believe there is someone out there that does. I know it will happen. Think out of the box. I wear my after shock all day without charging. Only wish I could hear voices with them.

just got bonesoundz bone conduction headphones for Christmas and love the over-the-ear feel. I can't stand anything touching my ears.
in spite of ssnhl in my right ear, it feels like I'm hearing in both sides. I shaved my sideburns to get better contact and clearer sound, too!
