I'm so glad I found this (and your playlist) as I'm in the process of preparing this campaign for later in the year. This stuff is a great help, thanks for the hard work.
Glad you find it useful. Channel supporters get access to the entire campaign in one bookmarked, ad-free video if that’s your bag.
Oh yeah this is great. Really looking forward to the next review in this series.
Beautifully done, man. I love the way you describe and review a product thorough and without chaff. Thanks.
I'm so glad you put this up Bud. I'm two or three weeks away from running this for the first time.
Hopefully, this and the other three on my Patreon will help you wrap your head around how it is pieced together.
Thanks for the videos, Bud! I'm preparing to run this soon and these are very helpful.
Glad you found them useful. There are another seven on my Patreon with another 5-6 to come if that is something you would be interested in.
Thanks for your videos, they help me prep to run my D&D 5e version of this for my homebrew setting
I doubt ever be able to play this campaign or run one but love all the details, and reviews, and seems to be top of any long campaign purchases.
IMHO… Impossible Landscapes is better.
@@BudsRPGreview Just ran my players through IL last year. Time for MoN! Looking forward to see how they compare to each other.
Great review
I've finally decided to run this so this is good timing for me.
Great review, currently running the 7th edition version for my group.
If you haven't already, and can afford them, I would heartily recommend the props set by HPLHS. The are utterly magnificent.
@@BudsRPGreview I have seen this, but sadly we recently moved our group online in the past year. Though I'm tempted to get it for when I run it for the family at some point haha
very detailed and informative
Can't wait for part 2
Parts 1-7 are available to my Patrons. I am currently working on part 8 (Kenya). The whole thing will probably go live to the public in the New Year at the current rate.
Perfect timing just got my slipcover copy! (doing a lot of scanning and uploading to roll20 right now as my party is spead across 4 contries IRL) Thank you for doing these reviews!
Oh cool I got this box set to, Cthulhu stuff always work 👍
So I wanted to watch this so I became a patreon, after the two headed serpent campaign I am running I have plans to do this, probably as a pulp Cthulhu game
Glad to see you here!
Funny, I own the original box set, and though I GMed a lot of CoC back in the day, I never gave MoN much thought. I had no idea it was such a famous and widely regarded adventure. I'm going have to go down into the basement and dig it out for a reread.
Oh yeah! It's considered one of the very best. Number nine on rpg.net's highest rated gaming book list.
Only just found this, have to say this is the greatest adventure ever released for a TTRPG. CoC is possibly the greatest TTRPG also. (Yes I am 50 so played most RPGs in their original format) love this video.
Check out Impossible Landscapes for Delta Green.
@@BudsRPGreview I've not played that, but I did play Delta Green in it's original run in the 90's, it's such a good RPG.
I imagine that the intent behind starting Book 2 at 385 is so you can quote a raw page number in reference and not have to spend time saying: "Book 1, Page 125. Book 2, Page 78." Great start to this exciting series Bud!
Yeah, you're probably right - didn't think of that.
Awesome work as always, could you do one on Red Hand of Doom from D&D?
I don't currently own a copy sadly.
@@BudsRPGreview are you opposed to having one purchased and sent to you?
Bud thanks for your videos they are always great. I had a question though. In your opinion, what is more difficult to run this or impossible landscapes for delta green?
For some reason I'd guess Masks just because it probably has a wealth of aide material developed over the years cause of its legendary status. That and the atmosphere and tone Impossible landscapes is trying to go for is probably more challenging to maintain over a long time while keeping a straight face.
Probably Masks due to the size, but IMHO Impossible Landscapes is better.
how does one decides to make such a usefull video? Thank you :)
Glad you think so!
Hey.... just a heads up ... I used a tiny bit of footage from your video in a box opening on my chan as I didn't want to break the seal on it. Mainly as I am about to play Horror on the Orient Express and Marks was a birthday present. Meaning I may not get to play it as Express will take like 2 years! So thought best to keep in shrink as I might never play it. Anyway, I put a link to you chan in the description and named the chan in a title overlay for the brief moment your video was running. I am not a monetised channel. I'm pretty sure you will be cool with this, but I thought I should let you know.
Nah, it’s cool.
@@BudsRPGreview cool stuff. Love the chan btw! See ya on your next upload!
mmmm not sure about the jazz hands ,bud....
You must be new around here...
Confidant is ye olde "boyfriend".
Not much of a review though. Will the actual review come as a final segment?
It's just part one. The final video will contain all of my thoughts on the entire thing.
