5:04 Despite having a slightly narrower cabin width, airlines have also fitted their older Boeing 777s with 3-4-3 layout in Economy. I was today years old when I learned that the Boeing 777-300ER has a slightly wider cabin than previous 777 variants because all this time, I thought all 777 variants had the exact same cabin width 😮
I've flown on the Boeing 777-300ER with British Airways from LHR -JFK and from from JFK-LHR in October last year and it was a beautiful Aircraft to fly on and I loved it on both directions. Long Live the Boeing 777-300ER!
Well, the 777-200ER was a replacement of the 767, and the 300ER had a higher capacity for extra passangers and longer range. Already having the 777-200ER being popular, It became a win win!!
No it wasn't. The 777 was designed to fill the gap between the 747 and 767. The 777 was also designed to replace the aging DC-10, L-1011 and to a lesser extent the 747 SP. In addition, Boeing realised a gap in the market that McDonnell Douglas and Airbus were already tapping into via the MD-11 and A340 program, respectively.
This video couldn’t have come at a beetrt time! I’m flying on Swiss air’s 777-300ER next Wednesday to Zurich from Chicago. It will be my first on the 777 and On Swiss air!
The Boeing 777-300ER is also my favorite plane, in fact I booked a stupid/useless trip from MIA -> JFK simply because they were using it on the return leg.
The 777-300er is that real shit when it comes to sounds!! The sounds is absolutely something you cannot pass on!! The plane is a pure beauty that provides a ton of comfort! I’ve never flown on a triple 7 but I absolutely WANT to! The 300er will definitely be in service for quite a bit even when the 777X comes to service, it’s still going to be in service being that the 777X and 777-300er are very close in sizes except the 777X has a slightly longer wing span, but either way, the 300er is not going anywhere anytime soon. Well said throughout the vid
Love it and if you are wondering it has enough range to make Hong Kong and Manila non-stop to New York JFK and Newark Airport. If you want to see how the next Generation ge90-115B only 777 variants are distributed in the United States UA/AA B777-300/ER DL B777-200/LR. Although the Builder plates for them are different UA B777-322/ER AA B777-323/ER and DL B777-232/LR. The latter one can make non-stop Atlanta/Detroit/JFK Eastern Time zone to Manila Terminal 3. Speaking of the prototypes do they fly to Chicago because the one that started it all off N7771 B-HNL does flight to Manila Philippines when it's in service. What you can do to 10 years ago was actually get a combined JL/CX ORD-MNL via NRT/HND and HKG. My question is this who's going to go for 777-9X in the United States?
#777forever I love the 777-300ER it's my most favorite 777 variant. When I draw, I usually don't do the 777-200 models, and I prefer the 777-300 (both non-ER and ER variants)
It’s a huge shame chairman Mohammad el hout did NOT purchase at least ONE Boeing 777-300ER for Middle East Airlines marking the flagship aircraft of Lebanon 🇱🇧
Love the Triple 7 and her "little sister", the 757. These two beautiful aircraft are a reminder of how far Boeing has fallen . Attractive, state of the art jets, are no longer a concern to them. Makes me cry to think, that this company, once the pride and glory of Seattle and the United States, is a shadow of it's former self. 😢
This is probably the last great commercial Boeing ever made, before they became a mess of quality issues, outsourcing , and profits first engineering.I hope that the 777x eventually gets finished and fills in the gap that’s beginning to form as 2nd generation 777s are retiring . (The a350 is way too tiny!!)
Absolutely. Some 15 years ago I flew from London to Boston on a 747-400, and because of the 3-4-3 configuration, it felt like being stuffed into a frickin sardine can.
@@ScepticGinger89 The 747 is 22 centimeters wider inside. That's a lot more and you can fit an okay 3-4-3 economy seating inside the Boeing 747. But 3-4-3 in an Airbus A380 is much better, because you have even more space.
The B777-300ER has better engines than any A380, though 😎 that being said, the upcoming B777X, with its improved wing and GE9X engines, will fly considerably higher than the B777-300ER.

The engine sound on the DC-10 was also quite unique. The 777-300 is a beautiful work of art too.
That engine at the tail is everything 😍 that aircraft should be updated
Nice video! Very informative and clear! Long Live 777-300er!

I would literally do the same thing
I wish United would fly the 77W to Chicago so we could see more of these beauties!
Part of the reason is the awesome GE90-115B, with a dispatch reliability rate of 99.98% and the highest time on wing record by far 😎

One of my favorite planes. Boeing peaked the 2nd time with this plane. The first being 747 obviously.
Boeing should have continued making this variant but give a few cosmetic modifications. Less headache with debacle with B777X
i've flown on a Emirates Boeing 777-300ER from Sweden To Dubai and from Dubai to Phillipines

3-4-3 is even worse on the narrower cabin A350.

the 777 is as big as the 747 accept with 2 engine instead of 4 and no upper decks.
