Just finished the 15th blanket. This is not the old granny style with a lot of holes in it. It takes longer to make but it is just beautiful, cozy and warm. I use yarn bee brand from hobby lobby and it is extra soft.
Hola... @korinawelty9914 Sin duda es un modelo precioso! Como has elaborado varias, podrías ayudarme con una dificultad que tengo: siempre me queda ondulada la parte mostaza😢 Te sucede? I just came across this video and it’s the perfect gift for a friend. Thank you so much for explaining how to carry, attach the new yarn and for showing exactly where to place the next stitch. Your video is very well thought out and edited.
When I found this video after searching for awhile for a quick throw to make at first I thought no way am I crocheting a throw in only single stitches. No freaking way. But your video snatched me in and I decided to try. This pattern is extremely easy and FLAWLESS! I chose 4 colors of aran, latte, coffee with a edge of black and omg it came out beautifully! The sides of this blanket stayed completely straight with flawless color changes. Thank you so much. You're a amazing crocheter. Thanks again for this lovely patten. I have now made five. Each in different colours for my family. They love them. I didn't add tassels because my young grandchildren would have had fun pulling them to leave some still attached with others missing. They still look really nice with the plain edges. Also I found if I made a narrower border the edges didnt go wavy. Thanks again for the l patten

Hola! Gracias!
I’ve done my accent color about 20 rows of the alternating stripes. My border is wider and wavy (it isn’t flat). I love the blanket but am afraid to continue. I’ve read a few folks had this issue as well, but I didn’t see a resolution for it. A friend of mine requested I make this blanket and I have to love it to continue any further.
For those commenting on wavy borders not aligning with the body of the blanket, use a 4mm hook for the borders and the 5.50mm for the body as directed. Solved the problem for me, and the end result is beautiful!
This is so well done thank you. This was my first crochet project ever and I loved every minute of it! Thanks for the excellent explanation. I can highly recommend this project.

Love this beautiful piece. To troubleshoot the wave problem I tried several things. The one I’m trying now seems to be working. •Accent colour with 5 mm hook • colour change with 5 mm hook • 2 chains Instead of one chain between stitched. Keep the tension. • another option could be a loose loose chain one.

I ordered m6 yarn. 150 yds of mustard, which is 2 balls (77 yds) of Drops Aran wool, Alaska, mustard. Well, I’ve just finished my first 8 rows of mustard and already into my 2 nd ball. Now, I have to order more! So, plan accordingly. You will need much more than 150 yds of the accent color to make the start and end border and the tassels. Hopefully, the 1000 yds each of the gray and white will be enough- so annoying! and I’m using a 4 hook because I crochet pretty loose.

This is a beautiful blanket but I don't think I can do the whole blanket in the linen stitch it would just take way too long to grow I would wind up probably not finishing it but I do have a question how did those tassels hold up in the laundry😊
I finished the bulk of the blanket and I love it, but and didn't like how the beginning yellow looked, so I took it out, BUT now I don't know how to connect the yellow again. My first row of white loops are huge now that I removed the yellow. Are you able to help me?
Hello, my english is not very good, can you tell me how many balls of yarn you used? If I understood correctly, the crochets are 5mm for yellow and 5.5mm for gray and white? Thank you
I have experienced the same problem of the accent rows becoming wavy once the white row is added. Even correctly changing hook from 5 to 5.5. Anyone have suggestions.? My tention is good.
Hi!! Just finishing up my blanket now. What am I supposed to do with the white and gray that are now below the border? Do I need to knot them? And then pull the thread in I’m lost.
I am following the directions and used a half size smaller hook for the border and even tried a full size smaller (4MM) but it’s still wider than the main section. I’m a fairly advanced beginner but I can’t figure this out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Making this as a present for my closest friend.
Are you making a border to cover all of the yarn on the side? You experience crocheters please tell me if it will be easier to cut the yarn. I think I am afraid to do it like that since I am just starting. I really appreciated
I haven't started this blanket but yes, I think a boarder would help with the finish look. Perhaps 1-2 rows of SC of beige and switching to yellow where needed. 1 row of SC shouldn't be hardly noticeable. I wonder if just a slip stitch would work.🤔
Thank you for taking your time explaining every aspect of this, including carrying/twisting the yarn. You make it easy for new crocheters.
