- The water from the flooded Ogeechee River may be receding, but high water is still a problem in Coastal Georgia. Bryan County Emergency Services were still on scene dealing with the situation. Residents continue to use small watercraft to access their property where the flood waters have turned streets into small rivers. Mailboxes now used as buoys to mark the channels.
It may be several days before the water levels drop enough for inspections and assessments of damages.
Drone video in 4k shows in detail the extent of the flooding here.

After living in Brunswick (Fairway Oaks) for 35 years my Mom and Dad (Dad was chief of supply at FLETC) moved to a retirement home, Magnolia Manor, in Richmond Hill where they lived out the rest of their lives. I and my siblings have made countless visits to Richmond Hill over the years. Thank you for the content Captain Andy. Proud to be a member of the Minorcan Navy!
Prayers for all of these folks.I well remember the flood of 1994 here in Marion co Ga.and the surrounding counties. Jane Snider Buena Vista,Ga. 6:46

Unbelievable. God bless all affected
Stay safe and hope the water disappears quickly, and that the clean up is not too bad. (Portsmouth UK)

Thank you MM for the flyover, very sad situation. As soon as you said Ogeechee River, I thought of Love's Seafood and they are closed at least until midweek!
and the tree that fell on my roof last week remains in place now I can put in the skylight I wanted at least I am above water line
Thanks for sharing 🙏

Prayers from Lower EasterShore of Maryland 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You don’t see this stuff on the news. These peoples lives have been changed and the recovery is long and painful I went through hurricane Fran and it changed the way I look at life and certainly changed how I prepared for my future… May God ease their struggle…
We have been through Fran, Floyd and Matthew. Three major storms. Not to mention the other hurricanes that have come through. Fran was more of a wind event with some flooding. Floyd and Matthew were heavy rain events.
@@jimbrewer2893 Fran changed the look of the landscape it took down so many trees that they had to set up debris stations where they would tub grind the wood and it took over a year to do it all..
Minor clarification, the flood waters is more than just rain fall from Debby. Several small dams making lakes up river in Bullock and Screven county were breached due to Debbi rain fall. The surge since Thursday has been water from those breached lakes, the tides complicate the drainage into the ocean. There are several other large rivers impacted by Debby in coastal GA which do not have the same flooding issue.
Thank you for this explanation.
i live up river from here, all the water leaving here is headed there, stay safe
The flooding here in Eastern NC is about to get worse. And it's still raining heavily at least three times a day.
Hi from Cape Coral Florida.
I'm so sorry to see all this flooding. Sarasota FL got a lot of flooding East of I-75.
Thanks for say what those ponds are.
🇨🇦 Wow its just shocking to see how many homes are under water, i can't begin to imagine how heartbreaking this is on people and their families. Praying for everything to get back to normal. So very sorry. 🙏🏼💕
Well Andy !!!! Being a retired ""OTR" Driver, the "TS/A " is in Richmond Hill just off I-95 !!! Was it flooded too as the road going there was always under water with heavy rain ??? Hope those folks had ""FLOOD INS. "" !!! 🤔🙄
Having to do all that work. No fun.
Debby turned out to much more of a rain event than a wind event.
hi andy
Hey Greg
Sad to see this flooding. Are the sewer systems overwhelmed, blocked, damaged or are the rivers just way over flood stage. I live in Ohio, but have friends who live in the north western part of Georgia.
This is the rainfall from Hurricane Debby that passed by last week. The storm has been gone for days, and still causing damage
I wonder if any residents still need access to their houses. I have a canoe
Got Pumps?
Why are developers allowed to continue to build in areas that are in whats considered the 500 yr flood plane.😢
I feel badly for how much flooding has occurred in your area. I wish some of you would jump on these people who are living in Sarasota county FL and complaining about their situation like they’re the only ones affected. I live in Florida and this one subdivision with their half $1 million homes and how they feel like they’re the only ones out there who are suffering from the floods caused by this hurricane, even up in Pennsylvania peoples homes were floating away. If you get on UA-cam, you’ll know which ones they are because they’re putting all their high-end appliances out to the curb where most of us would have to try to deal with it and salvage as much as we could because we don’t have the money to buy new stuff.
It’s a sump area and the water around it will be heading to it 😢😢😢. Should have never built in that area 😢
i had 0 idea there was flooding in GA? FLorida is getting all the headlines, wtf.
The rich folks😊so greedy and wicked 😊
You're just jealous that they have a better home than you.
@@Melissa-gc1hzJealous? Lol, of being flooded? No. She’s talking about how these cities and developers STEAL and destroy land just to accommodate their greed for wealth. They build homes anywhere, and have zero care about natural disasters destroying them.
Where is the president, he seems more concerned of sending money and supplies across the Atlantic than here in the states
Yes that is a fact 😢😢😢
What is the president gonna do?
Show up and make a worthless speech?
Or should he show up like Bush did Katrina?
