My name is Matt Criscuolo coming to you “up close and personal.” My world revolves around my wife Kristina, my son Julian and making people happy.
I'm a son of Italian immigrants born in New York. Been playing the saxophone and piano since 10 years old. I'm 50 now (I know I only look 32 :-) Went to Manhattan school of music for Jazz saxophone and composition. Opened my first restaurant in 1993 and have opened eight since. I have seven music albums available online as well.
Started this channel to share the beautiful gift of music sprinkled with a little bit of my personal musical knowledge and opinions with the hopes that I could inspire others to be a part of bringing happiness and joy to peoples lives through music and "smiles" to make our brief existence on this planet more pleasurable. You mentioned this was requested by Glennis Grace. If this is THE Glennis Grace you really should react to her singing. She does covers, Whitney Houston, Prince etc. many with Candy Dulfer. IMO the best Whitney covers I have ever heard. Incidently Candy toured with Prince. He famously said, "and when I need sax, I call for candy"

Crap, this slipped passed me, I'm a big Oleta Adams fan! She was discovered by Tears For Fears back in the day, they did the song Woman In Chains together. I had the album Circle Of One which this song is from and another fave from it is Rhythm of Life. Thanks for the great reaction, Matt!

I love this song. It’s up there in my category “longing songs” with “So far away” and “Home again” from Carole King, “Home” from Michael Bubble and so many others. It says: “I love you, I miss you, I know we would have such a great time together”... I think we can all relate right now. I totally agree with you about singers being instrumentalists. I sing and play piano and my favorite artists often fit in that category: Carol King, Laura Nyro, Billy Joel, Elton John, Sting, Sara Bareilles. This performance is so connected. Fantastic. Warms the soul. Thanks. 🤗

@@mattcriscuolo1541 Explanation: I travelled many times to the USA and I noticed that quite a few knew so little about what's happening outside their country. Note: please note, this doesn't count for every US-resident, but it was just something I noticed (my bad?).
Just for yourself, check out Avery Sunshine playing piano and singing this same song in tribute to Oleta Adam's. It's also on UA-cam. She sounds amazing and puts her own more jazzy spin. Worth looking at . You'll appreciate the way ahe ends her more condensed version.
