Brand split used to mean something. Stars stayed on their shows and it felt like two legitimately separate businesses trying to outdo each other. Raw and SD both had their own unique atmosphere and identity. Brand crossover was once treated as a big deal, and usually the only time we saw it was during the big four PPVs where both shows were fighting for brand supremacy. Around 09-10 is when Vince said screw it and started letting the stars jump ship and blur the lines between the shows. After that, WWE tried multiple times in vain to reinstate draft rules, but within six months they were right back to letting the wrestlers appear on either brand. Blame creative, blame management. Either way, despite Triple H's best efforts, things will never go back to the way they used to be.
Brand split is necessary because you can do more with it. It can be unpredictable as foes can become allies for one period or betray each other. Lets be honest we've seen enough of the same things. What was old is new again. We need Smackdown Vs Raw.
The brand split should have ended back in 2018 when WWE stopped doing separate PPVs. There's no reason to continue it anymore, especially with so much crossover between Raw, NXT, and SmackDown through the year.
Here's a crazy idea attach a transfer fee to every wrestler and each brand competes in terms of revenue generated, the more revenue you generate the better wrestlers you can draft to your show. Then throughout the year the brand with better viewership and stuff gains revenue, then neutral ppvs like winning brand in survivor series, owner of the royal rumble winner gains revenue that they could spend on the next draft.
The first 2 drafts were done great. The draft in 2002 with mr mcmahon vs ric flair was good and then the 2004 draft where it was eric bischoff's raw vs paul heymans smackdown was awesome. They need to just end the brand split or do it 100% right. I dont think they can do it now because of netflix and these tv companies wanting certain wrestlers on their shows.
I think it’s just the fact it’s all interconnected and storylines are too big to play out once a week sometimes something has to happen on a Monday to justify fridays actions. It’s not that serious.
In my opinion wargames is simply bad, back them we had elimination matches something that was rare but everybody enjoyed to see it with two big factions in one of the biggest PPV of the year, now we have no elimination match with two factions, we lost that survivor of the fittest type scenario.
They don't even view Survivor Series as part of Big 4 anymore. That's Money in the Bank now and that's why they will eventually make MITB a two night stadium show at some point in the future.
Nick Aldis and Adam Pierce are the worst gm's in wwe history. They are boring, dull and lack charisma. They announce matches without putting emphasis on the match, like eg Teddy Long:"ONE-ON-ONE WITH THE.. UNDERTAKER!!"
I keep saying HHH ain't it man... He does whatever because the marks will enjoy it just like Tony Khan... WWE is a fuckin mess right now... Yeah the bullshit is glossed over because they're doing good numbers but the real fans now this shit is garbage... And honestly last year's brand split was boogus as hell because no main event talent switched brands... It was just women and Midcarders... So fuckin stupid
Even last year road to mania brand spioit was just dead even though SmackDown hust got new gm in nick aldis like two months ago so brand spolit can actually be legit ffs
2016 was the last year when Draft felt legit imo.
I hate this…
I miss the old times
Smackdown Stars on SD
Raw Stars on Raw
This channel needs more subs

There’s still no logical kayfabe explanation for why Roman vs Solo is on Raw lol

Unnecessary you mean
@@CrashDummy-m4f
Never said we didn’t, but WWE needs to make the brand split mean something
Yea but the Brand split means Nothing when Their showing up on the opposite show every week
Hot take. People crap over the young bucks…the usos are boring. And “yeet” is cringe

They dropped the split in the mid 2010s, but brought it back in 2016.

I feel like war games should stay but do the brand v brand in it

But it is serious…it’s inconsistent and redundant
@ brother, it’s wrestling. It will never be that serious. Most of the time it’s story segments and not even matches. You internet fans are so funny.
How about... A WAR GAMES BRAND VERSUS BRAND MATCH
They should end the brand split
Best channel ever
youre so right bro
Bro sounds like the wrestlering youtuber called the hater
Welcome to 2003.

Agreed.
I think we should keep the war games format but add elimination to it
Dude you just solved a super big booking issue

All of wrestling is stupid.

They need to revive an ECW event once a year. One event ever was not enough.
All of the ECW guys are too old. Most of those wrestlers are either dead or retired now.
