I had one friend who got really into music. He got an electric guitar for Christmas and self taught himself to play. I remember one specific memory of coming out and he was playing Schism by Tool on it. It just blew me away how fast he learned and how awesome it sounded. If my family wouldn't had been poor, I would have went right out and got one right after that. Fortunately, I found out last I had no real skill in music. I did end up getting all his old games one day because he was just going to throw them out when his interests changed. LOL

That friend in the video still plays to this day, and he still likes to play some NES games when he gets the chance. I'm glad you're back Dad, I hope things are well with you and your family.

It's probably one of the hardest on NES.
But it was an arcade that let screaming, violence ,and bleeding when WE were playing the Arcade in the 1990s. BattleToads

I’m also a music lover, it’s the closest thing to religion I have. I started playing guitar at 25, self taught. I’ve learned bass over the years as well, as well as recording and mixing. I stopped playing games a lot when I started playing guitar, it will completely consume you. Especially when you realize you have talent to actually play! Video games had to take a back seat to music but I kept my NES! I’ll never part with it. Now at 48 I’m back to gaming again, and I do both! I even like to play some of my favorite game music on guitar lol!

Who is the grumpy kid with the beret? Danny Carey looks like he is playing on a toy drum set in that clip! Great video

The grumpy kid in the beret is the buddy who convinced me to get a bass. He’s making that face in the pic because he had just hurt his hand doing something and we captured it. Yeah, Danny is destroying that regular kit at that game. He’s a big dude and that kit didn’t stand a chance 😂

Great story. I too have a love of music and own a 75 jazz bass and an American pro II tele deluxe. Is your music available somewhere? Also the best time to buy games is when it’s one or two generations old and retail stores are looking to clear their stock. I’ve been buying so many great ps3 and wii games for a couple of bucks each

Wow, a 75 Jazz, yeah I bet that sounds awesome! I'm going to try to make that music available somehow on the channel, I've just gotta figure out how I want to do it. I'm a big fan of visiting game shops when I can, and I'll buy online if I have to. Yeah, I'll let games sit for a while before I pick them up. I like saving money when I can 🙂

@@CharlieFive.i was kind of lucky, some arcade gear I bought in the mid 2000’s sold on eBay for more than triple what I paid, I wouldn’t normally drop $3000+ on a guitar 😅 retro prices are crazy right now, but in 10-15 years I think we’ll see big prices for wii/wii u/ps3 stuff, especially the good titles that are only available on that platform. For music I use bandcamp and sound cloud if you have your stuff ripped to mp3. I put some music on my channel from time to time. One of my favourite quotes is: “food is sustenance for my body but music is nourishment for my soul”
