Christ, I paid less for my *dream car* than what the Uncharted 2 collector's edition costs A full-on functioning automobile cheaper than a video game and a dagger thingy
My personal opinion is that you either do something so epic and big it makes me happy it exists even if I can't buy it or you do something stupid and it's better off not existing
The last games i played that made me feel something were Cavern of Dreams and Corn Kidz 64. They were each like 5 bucks on steam and made by like one dude
Worst case of this crap is spiderman 2. Comes with a steelbook with NO DISK! And a statue.. granted thats a venom statue which is sick as f*ck. But retails at 400$?! Sony are the worst companys for CE releases. This trend of them doing these with a statue and steelbook with no disk needs to stop.🙄😒
This is in no way an attempt to defend the practice, but Sony kind of painted themselves into a corner by releasing the digital only console. There's no way developers can be expected to create two separate collector's editions for both versions of the console, and they're definitely not going to include both a disc and a digital code.
I've only gotten so few Collector's Editions of games in my life. The best one I've gotten so far is the one for Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. It was cool because it had a MGRR version of one of those plasma lamp things and that was pretty neat. I don't have it now because I didn't have a lot of room at the time, but I hope I can get it again one day when I have more room (for a reasonable price, of course). Anyway, I don't get a lot of CEs because half the time (depending on the product), they go down in price or the things are just not worth getting anyway. I got the CE of God of War Ascension and the statue was cool and all, but it was cheap(ish) and it eventually just got in the way. Didn't help that the game was just alright. So unless something amazing comes up for a franchise I love, I probably won't get any collector's editions anytime soon again...but now I'm thinking of that awesome plasma lamp again...
Oh dude, are you saying that this is the death of physical media?
The editing on this is really damn good! Super high quality, and the pacing is great! Subscribed and looking forward to more of your stuff.
Thank you so much!!! Funny you mention, I just uploaded a new video! :D

I was so upset when spiderman didn't come with the disc. It's also a main reason why i did not get the God of War Ragnarok collectors edition
Armored Core 6 had one of the best collector's editions. Giving you a big mech figure and other goodies
Hey, Gizmoid. It’s Arizona boy… we need to talk
Woah.... Can you say that?

Physical doesn't necessarily means preservation, DRM-Free does.
Yes Indeed

As someone who prefers physical games by a mile, this perfectly sums up how I've been feeling lately.
