      and what do you do now? I also already cancelled it 2 times when it was not available in germany. Now it is but i also have no 3080 yet... probably also waiting for big navi or a 3080 with 20gb. But i'm going to put a 3080 or Big Navi inside if it would be the H1. Currently have a GTX 1080 Ti with 11gb and i'm gaming @4k why i don't lile the 10gb 3080.

      A 650 watt is fine so long as your 650 is not a piece of cheap shit.
      Recommended PSU wattagges are always WAY higher than the actual power draw because the manufacturers have to account for people buying $40 1000watt PSUs that perform worse than a bronze rated 450 watt and die after a few months.

    If you draw too much power, the PSU triggers OCP or OPP, it's not a crash (unless you PSU sucks).
    Theoretically most power supplies can deliver more power than advertised, however the protection triggers beforehand.

    • @ignasanchezl
      @ignasanchezl 4 роки тому

    I wouldn't call the H1 "tiny". At 13.6 liters there are cases like the slinger conswole at 10.6 liters that can support a full 3 slot gpu in less space. It would probably even cool the card better as the console style design of the case would allow the 3080 to move air straight through the case without dumping any hot air inside.

  • @mick7727
    @mick7727 4 роки тому

    The manufacturer's recommendation suggests these numbers if you have the hungriest CPU to partner the GPU with. I, on the other hand have a 3600 which maxes at 85w, and plan to upgrade to an even less hungry 5600x in January. Sure, if you have an intel glutton CPU, you should definitely follow recommendation unless you undervolt.

    Far Cry 5 at 79C is about what my EVGA GTX 1080 FTW runs in a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL with 3 intakes on the bottom. Exhaust on top and back. Thermal sounds very promising on 3080. Can't wait to switch. I think the cooler on the 3080 FE is perfectly designed for my fan setup anyway. My bottom fans pulling in cool air will be blowing directly in to the intakes on the 3080.

    You should’ve shown total system power draw using a power meter coming from the wall. The 3080 was using about 340w & let’s say the cpu uses another 100w. So that’s 440w. That’s plenty of head room for other components and being safe for a 650w. Did I miss something?

    I would use a skinny case. Like the RVZ03 is perfect for it. And then drill a hole on the other side for the GPU exhaust. Perfect. 😏

    So the TUF was around 65-66c while gaming?
    But what about the CPU? 🤔
    I really want to go with a smaller case .. Been looking at this one for a while, but seeing as I ordered the STRIX 3080 OC, I doubt that will ever fit into this case or have sufficient power from the PSU 🤷‍♂️

    I wonder if the lower power draw was more due to the heating issue than the power supply ouput? Try the 650 watt in a better case and check power draws then?

    750W is the recommendation, but total system power draw in early reviews have been in the 530W -550W range.
    Even with overclocking if you have a quality 650W PSU you should be ok. 750W is still the best option if your building new or have a questionable quality or PSU. If you have a good quality 650W I wouldn't replace it without testing it first.

I think the Founders would be one of the best cards for cases with poor ventilation, since it can exhaust about half of its heat out of the rear of the case, but in this specific enclosure, oh it's gonna suffer.
