You have to watch part 2!! 3 and 4, take it or leave it, they’re not relevant to the first one. But the second movie basically answers any questions this one may have left you with
If I'm watching a horror movie with someone who I know will shout and/or jump...I will sit as far away on the couch as I can from them. I think I'm more scared of them freaking out than the actual jumpscare itself most times lmfao
I watched this movie in an empty theater with my bestie and I’ve never screamed more in my entire life. Like I felt like I had been through a haunted house ride
When i was watching this movie for the first time, this scene make me scream out of my lungs till my heart feel a little bit hot inside, because i can't predicted that jumpscare, i was so focus on the screen because the dialog from james's mother when she tell the story about what happend to james in his childhood.. and then when the camera focus on james that red face demon suddenly standing behind james, that so unpredictable to have that jumpscare on that scene thats why it makes me scream so loud because i was too shock lol
I completely agree and would even go as far to say it might be scarier. The use of middle eastern music mixed with subtle background scares and a serial killer story at the core had my not sleeping for weeks
Sinister is way scarier than Insidious and the main reason is the goddamn realistic film footage and the score of the movie which is terrifying. everything feels extremely real in Sinister.
Are y’all forreal? Sinister bored me to death. The sequel too. Now Insidious? Oh this gave my friends and I nightmares when it came out during our college years.
I did in fact see this in a packed theater on opening night back in 2011. It was the greatest cinema experience of my life. There was alternating dead silence and deafening screaming, drinks and popcorn flying through the air at the jump scares, terrified people running out of the theater. I can still recall how tightly I was squeezing my seat handles. Fantastic memory.
Most movies set up a scene for one big scare, but James Wan's genius is that he knows how to drag a scene out with multiple jump scares you can never anticipate. The best Conjuring movies he directed did this, too.
The story is fantastic, the directing choices were phenomenal and gives you this eerie presence ,the lore and the child actor is amazing and the other actors were spectacular and the music is just- **chefs kiss** Not to mention the designs of the demons freaked me tf out man. I'm 19 and a horror movie fan and I can't watch this shit by myself at night 🤣🤣. Honestly my favourite horror film because it managed to scare me. You should definitely watch part 2 and both of the conjuring movies next. Oh! And classics like Psycho, Gremlin, Cujo , Carrie(which, inspired the prom scene in the finale of stranger things with the blood balloons) , The Thing and The Mist
I think the sound design in this film made it particularly jump scare worthy lmao. Such a good horror and a good laugh watching poor seb 😂 would love to see your reaction to Stephen kings Pet Sematary, one of the first horrors I watched and terrified me as a kid. Sinister and the Saw films are worth checking out aswell.
I saw this movie in a theater with my sister when it came out. It was in a mall, and by the time the movie ended it was late and all the stores in the mall were closed, so it was pretty dark. As we were walking to the exit they played the sound of that ghost kid laughing and running over the pa system. It scared the shit out of us, and everyone leaving the movie. We all took off running for the door. It was terrifying but also hilarious
watching a horror movie alone is 10x scarier than watching it with even just one person accompanying you let alone an entire movie theater. I commend you.
the thumbnail shot literally scalps me every time I watch this film, what a hilarious set of reactions!! if you’ve sat through this tho, you’ve GOT to watch The Strangers, THAT is a truly brilliant, traumatising film…good luck :)
Sinister is a scary one that I had trouble getting through. I don’t often actually get scared watching movies but that one really freaked me out a lot. The Spanish horror movie [Rec] also really freaked me out, like blanket up to my chin in the dark kind of movie.
Please watch the 2nd one! It ties so well into the first one, if you wait till next October you might forget some of the scenes they reference and play with from the first one. Great reaction tho, we know you hate them but the sacrifice is worth it as the reactions were hilarious and so entertaining 😂
Oooh I just know this is gonna be a good one, can't wait to see it haha. You're gonna die watching this! 😭 And YES PLEASE you definitely need to watch the second installment since 1&2 are literally one big movie.
This was the hardest I've laughed in a few weeks man! lmao Seb pleaseeee watch the Insidious 2 🙏 it's like a perfect sequel. Can't wait to see what else you have planned this month. 🖤
This isThis is the most scariest movie I ever watched. This movie scares me to have to wait pieces. I get really scared every time I watch this movie my friend hasn’t seen it yet, but when she watches it😊
Great video! I think The Haunting of Hill House or Train to Busan would be some good ones to react to. They have good stories, as well as the occasional scare!
I watched the last movie of this franchise this year in theaters(alone) and despite it being on of my favorite horror franchise i was scared to death🤣🤣 i get you man🤣🤣
I find that people that enjoy horror films are similar to people who enjoy spicy food. They do it for the adrenaline rush from a simulated or controlled danger that causes that rush and provides relief. It is a feel good experience but a different type of feel experience.
This is the second scariest movie I’ve seen besides the ring. You do need to watch insidious part 2 though bc it ties into things that happen in the first one beautifully. Explains a lot more in the second Btw watching the 3rd and 4th is optional… but you definitely need to see the 2nd. The third, in my opinion, was the scariest, but was focused on different characters and stuff.
Great reaction, really funny to see you getting jumpscares 😀 You have to do the sequel (they are connected so well), but the rest of them doesn't matter.. Also you need to watch The Conjuring, that's even scarier than this one 🙂
Your jump scares made me laugh so hard. I hadn’t seen this movie in a long time , but I remember it being one of the most scariest movies I’d seen when it came out 😂
im a big horror film fan, and these insidious films are one of my favourite, but " Sinister " has got to be up there as my all time favourite, what a film, highly recommend.
If you are reading this SebScreen I highly recommend the Paranormal Activity movies. Even if you only watch the first two I think most people would be happy because most people including me think that the first two are the best.
Good stuff Seb, loving it. i really enjoy the first insidious, and yes, it was absolutely horrifying in theaters. My sister literally forced me to watch it with her even as I was about to have a panic attack. The second Insidious is pretty good, would recomend that one next. But The Conjuring 1 & 2 are excellent. I'd say just as good if not better than the first two Insidious films
Seb, you gotta watch Sinister. The first one is really good and disturbing, it would be nice to see you go through this😂 But it's not as scary as Conjuring or Insidious imo.
Me and my friends used to watch a lot of scary movies when we were young, so I'm kind of neutralised to horror 😁 But the scariest one we ever watched was Shutter (thai-version). Yes, Shutter as in camera-shutter, cause we all love when cameras are involved in scary movies 😁 I highly recommend it!
As I grew up in the 80's I too am desensitised to horror. Maybe it's because I'm older now but there's no newer stuff that "scares" me for example everyone seemed to lose their minds over hereditary and I didn't find it bad at all.
I grew up not being able to watch scary movies due to my mom not allowing me. This was my first ever scary movie I sat thru in the theater back in 2011 or so.. this began the spark that is my obsession with scary movies. Insidious is still my fave
This film is a masterclass in the tension and release cycle that’s crucial to horror movies, the sound is perfectly used and they know when it’s just right to let something linger a little too long
Awesome reaction! So funny watching you react to the “still ghosts” that scene FREAKED me out and still does 🤣 I’d highly recommend The Messengers, it’s an old horror movie, a young Kristen Stewart is the main character and I think she’s amazing in it, and not enough attention for the actual film but I’ve never forgotten the story and the ending it’s incredible! 🎃
AHAHAVHA watching you get jumpscared is the BEST u gotta see the second one ATLEAST, man. don't even worry about 3 or 4 but u GOTTA see the sequel it's so good
I love your videos seb they always bring happiness to my day, these movies are some of my fav horror movies the scares and just the story and the whole concept of astro projection into the spirit realm is so interesting and unique. I watched this in cinema and at 20:00 of this video when I saw it in cinema I shit myself hard 😂. Just imagine walking down the street and you saw this happni to someone in thier home would be horrorfying. But idk why to this day women in black the first one will always be the only horror movie that actually scares me and gives me bad vibes around my house at night hahah dk but the first one traumatised me lol second was good but no where near the level of jump scares the first had.
I'm only a few minutes on but i just want to say, Seb you don't have to push yourself out of your comfort zone or do something you don't want to do. We like watching your reactions but not at the expense of your enjoyment or comfort ❤❤
Finally someone did an reaction-video for this movie, This movie is where I got my trauma since early on my age, one is the eerie music played on the player or something with the shadow person dancing second is the old woman sketching and lastly where I really got scared to not able to sleep that after watching is when the demon man apeared. Honestly though after knowing it's a series I'd never again watch the following till 5 years after.
This was the first modern (of the 2000s) horror movie that I truly felt scared watching it in the cinema. Scary as heck. HOWEVER, it went down a notch after I saw Sinister. Man, that movie overtook Insidious as the winning champion of modern horror movie in the last two decades of the 2000s. You should check that out. It was unsettling.
10k likes for an even SCARIER ONE?
Yea this movie is so scary
now watch part 2
You have to watch part 2!! 3 and 4, take it or leave it, they’re not relevant to the first one. But the second movie basically answers any questions this one may have left you with
Insidious the the 2nd scariest movie in the world.
You can’t miss part 2 then!! It’s a masterpiece 💯💯💯
I feel like Seb would be the best and worst person to watch horror movies with because he’s scared so easily.
I prefer watching horror movies with people who are scared easily...maybe that says says something about me lol :D
Aha that’s me! I used to be so bad when watching horror movies growing up but now I’ve gotten better. I still jump at the jump scares though aha
If I'm watching a horror movie with someone who I know will shout and/or jump...I will sit as far away on the couch as I can from them. I think I'm more scared of them freaking out than the actual jumpscare itself most times lmfao
I'd love to watch a movie with him.........He knows when it's good lmao
EXACTLY 😂😂
I watched this movie in an empty theater with my bestie and I’ve never screamed more in my entire life. Like I felt like I had been through a haunted house ride
Oh man that had to be scary bcz I was scarred when I first saw this movie fr 😭
in an empty theatre i would love and hate that
This movie genuinely scarred me as a child, specifically the shot you used for your thumbnail, so of course I knew I had to watch immediately :)
That shot took my soul
This movie genuinely scarred me as an adult LMAO jajajaja great film :3
Same God this movie is so so scary
SAME!!! I almost passed out when I saw the scene when I watched the first time 😂😂
When i was watching this movie for the first time, this scene make me scream out of my lungs till my heart feel a little bit hot inside, because i can't predicted that jumpscare, i was so focus on the screen because the dialog from james's mother when she tell the story about what happend to james in his childhood.. and then when the camera focus on james that red face demon suddenly standing behind james, that so unpredictable to have that jumpscare on that scene thats why it makes me scream so loud because i was too shock lol
If you haven't watched the horror film "Sinister" starring Ethan Hawke, I'd definitely recommend it.
It's equally terrifying in it's own way! 😱
I completely agree and would even go as far to say it might be scarier. The use of middle eastern music mixed with subtle background scares and a serial killer story at the core had my not sleeping for weeks
and also 'it follows' scared the shit out of me
Agree sinister to me is scarier I can’t handle it I love it
Sinister is way scarier than Insidious and the main reason is the goddamn realistic film footage and the score of the movie which is terrifying. everything feels extremely real in Sinister.

if you like this one, you WILL love the second one. i promise. it's so well written and executed. i hope you watch it!!
A great sequel, for sure!
To me it 's like one whole movie
guys the next one is coming to cinema

James Wan is just a damn good director. Even the ones he directs that aren’t as good as others are still usually very good

I love this franchise and so excited for Insidious Chapter 5. Dalton's all grown up. Gotta continue these movies, man.
You have to watch SINISTER (2012) and ORPHAN (2009). They + Insidious are the scariest and most messed up horror movies out there. 😱😱😱
