Mike was indeed the best lawyer Harvey had ever seen. The fact that Mike got Harvey to leave his own firm to come and work for him at the end of the season is a testament to it...
This pilot, and the initial premise of the show, were great. Unfortunately, halfway through the first season they basically abandoned Mike’s incredible ability and just turned it into a show about a guy practicing law without a degree. They completely dropped the ball and turned the show into just another legal drama.

Law school students can appear on the record in court under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Had to revisit the meeting of these two legends before the year ended. This will forever be one of the greatest pilot episodes of this decade and in tv history which made me follow through the entire show without hesitation.
Because he hasnt even finished college. And he has a record of selling test answers. Harward just would not accept him. Plus Harvey barely knows the guy

Quite crazy. I've forgotten 3 times more math than most people ever learn. Haven't used advanced math in decades. Forgot how to speak fluent Italian, too. Guess I move around too much to remember it all.

What I love about this is that it’s such a unique twist on the cliche liar revealed story. So many other shows would have had just had Mike roll with the assumption and been some brilliant mastermind that fooled Donna and Harvey. But no, instead he’s 100% honest about everything.
After finishing Dexter I was looking for a good tv series and suddenly UA-cam recommend me this series. In the beginning I was not sure about the show but after after watching the pilot and specially this scene I stick to my mobile screen and watched every single episode back to back. This was one hell of a TV series, a powerhouse of acting. I think this show was so good that they can have spinoff for every single character, even for "the names on the wall". Dexter and Suits, two different and exactly opposite show but were spectacular in their own way.
It's amazing that the storyline reunites them for ever after. It pains me that Luis had to stay and manage the firm but that's probably could have not been avoidable becuase logically it was the only choice. I'm so happy though. Perfect ending.

Such an amazing pilot. I wish the entire show carried this level of writing
i think it did carry this level of writing up until the prison stuff started then it went downhill

It's as if he got tense for the interview.

Like his facial expression isn’t the same LOL
Exactly how did he change that fast unless they filmed the rest after a year

He would have fallen onto the radars of big law firms including Pearson Hardman and be hired

Last week i saw the last episode of this magnificent show. 9 years following, thanks for making SUITS, nbc.
NBC?
I’m gonna drop some knowledge for everybody watching this scene. Life is not always about your resume or what school you went to….it’s about being somebody, and I mean believing who or what you wanna be. Even if you aren’t, it’s about selling yourself and acting like the person you wanna be even before you are that person. Fake it until you make it, I’ve gotten great and amazing jobs by being an amazing salesman and selling myself better than any other applicant.
Thank you

This pilot, and the initial premise of the show, were great. Unfortunately, halfway through the first season they basically abandoned Mike’s incredible ability and just turned it into a show about a guy practicing law without a degree. They completely dropped the ball and turned the show into just another legal drama.
Exactly! It became another generic office drama instead of focusing around Mike's abilities and tackling law cases
The whole plot made no sense. As he could just start a degree. He missed out on Harvard, there are 100s of other law schools!
It will eventually become stale if they focus too much on his talent

"You give me this and i will work as hard as it takes to school those harvard's douches and become the best lawyer you have ever seen" goosebumps💥💥 probably the best line of Mike Ross.
Harvey: I'm inclined to give you a shot, but what if I decide to go the other way?
Mike: I'd say that's fair. Sometimes I like to hangout with people who aren't that bright. Just to see how the other half lives.
Screenwriting at its finest !!!
Law school students can appear on the record in court under the supervision of a licensed attorney. All Harvey had to do was hire him as a paralegal to start, use the firms power and influence to get him into Harvard, and then have him practice as a summer associate until he graduates and can be a real attorney.

What I love about this is that it’s such a unique twist on the cliche liar revealed story. So many other shows would have had just had Mike roll with the assumption and been some brilliant mastermind that fooled Donna and Harvey. But no, instead he’s 100% honest about everything.

I completely forgot that Patrick Adam's character was supposed to have perfect information retention and have memorized numerous law textbooks. It seems he forgot to draw on his superhuman abilities much after the first episode!
He's still human, prone to mistakes... I mean, if everything went perfect, why do we even watch the show?
Well, he was knowledgable of the theoretical parts, but real life is much more complicated than what is taught in schools, books etc.
Actually even after the first episode we saw him using his super amazing memory and multiple occasions... Ofc tho applying that knowledge in his job was hard at times..
