I have SBI focussed equity Regular fund running since 2012..... Are the below steps correct?? .....Please confirm 1. Stop the existing regular SIP by removing the autopay bill instruction from my bank account . 2. Start the direct SIP in the same fund . 3. Add the URN of the new direct SIP in my autopay bill section of my bank account 4. Start switching Units from my old regular one to the new direct one . Keeping in mind that I should only switch units which have already completed more than 1 year to avoid exit load .... I means if I have 10000 units and out of which 9500 have completed more than 1 year then I should switch 9500 units now and wait for other units to complete 1 year .
Hello Sir From last 5 my regular plan SIP is going on. I want to convert from regular to direct plan but as per my cams consolidated statement my regular sip is not reflecting. Please help in that so I can easily convert in to direct plan.
I have a TATA Flexicap regular Growth MF in icici direct. It has given decent return of 18.59%. But I did not know about direct vs regular till now. Do you think I should redeem the units and start over investing as direct SIP. I'm past the exit load period. Had started this in 2018 and has been 5 years.
Direct Plan is that where you are investing yourself. Regular Plan means you are investing through an advisor. If you have expertise in picking up right mutual fund schemes for you then you should go direct otherwise take consultation of an advisor and he could generate higher Alpha for you. For more details just reply and I can provide you some contacts.
Hi Pattu, thanks for this valuable input... I can't thank u enough for sharing this info... As I didn't know how to do this all these days... Can u pls throw some light on how to transfer existing units to our direct plan once we stop the SIP..
@@pattufreefincal Hi Sir... Thank you for the amazing content as always. Quick question - can this be done if one holds the Regular MF Units with a traditional broker (like ShareKhan) and starts new SIPs or remittances with a discount Broker (likes of Zerodha, etc). Another point I am considering as a hurdle is the NSDL & CDSL factor. Many thanks, NJ
I have 5 SIPs all from different AMC and want to stop 1 regular SIP (Kotak) among that 5 plans. How this ECS thing will work here??, if I stop mandate the remaining 4 SIPs will also stop.
Stopping a SIP is not as easy as clicking a button. ABSL Mf doesn't have any option in his website to stop SIP, one has to find the stop SIP form in the forms section and fill the details and send it to their customer care team. Franklin website is good as they had stop sip feature readily available on their website. when I stopped my sips the first call I got was my distributor had to literally put him off saying some reason. Been exactly a year since I moved direct.
Suppose I am investing in a regular plan of Fund A for around last 5years. Now I plan to switch to Direct plan of Fund A. Through a groww / kuvera app I raised a switch request and then stopped all future sips to the regular plan. Now all the existing corpus of fund A will be deposited as lumpsum in direct plan of fund A. But no sips will start in direct plan unless I initiate a new order for direct plan sip of fund A. so , am I not loosing out on my compounding? the new sip of direct plan will start afresh, not a continuation from where i left the regular plan. The advantage of investing for 5 years is gone...!! Pattu Sir.. please share ur views on this?
Hi, What is your view on the mutual funds which invest in international markets like the Franklin India Feeder - Franklin U S Opportunities Fund & DSP US Flexible Equity Fund
Hello sir, I have 2 diff funds of same AMCs happening on same day of the month. I gave ECS cancellation in my bank for one SIP as I wanted to stop the investment to that fund only. It was corporation bank. Staff of the bank told me, pls give one more stop ECS form to AMC also. Because, if they request again it may call for fine!!! I got confused..!
I have been investing in direct plans from start. Only catch here is: in direct plan investment one needs to teach the spouse how to handle things if investor is "no more" or say seriously ill....typically the spouse needs to be the second unit holder in case he/she needs the money for treating the investor. Being nominee is no use as u need to wait for the death.
I have cancelled my sip online through My Cams on 1st Dec19.(my next sip date is 25 th Dec.) After that I checked at my cams application that the cancellation process is successfully done or not and I found that my sip has ceased. Now I have a query regarding the biller removal from savings account. Is it necessary to remove the biller from my bank account before the next sip date as I added the biller online during the Sip registration? If I don't remove the biller details then what will happen? Any bounce charges?
Sir I'm confused between aggressive hybrid or balanced advantage for long term above 10 years. Which you would think would be ideal for such a time span Thanks

Thank you
Sir at the end you should have put your regular bhajan... dont start SIP in direct also, just login and do the investment manually :)

There was no safitient amount in my account for sip (I want to stop my sip ), but in the first month the bank has cut the penalty for missing the sip

Quite simple. JUst shift gradually after exit load is zero and keep LTCG less than one lakh

Why do we need to transfer the money from a regular folio if we stop sip?? Can't we allow it to grow there?

I have ULIP from ICICI PruLife stage II and have paid 3 out of 5 installments. Is it wise to close it now and if yes what is the procedure?
You will either have to pay 2 more premiums and then close it or lose all the 3 premiums paid

Either one is fine as you cannot 100% of that fund even from day one. Treat as pure equity and have proper asset allocation
About the p/e ratio, it's at all time high on 10th April 2019. Shouldn't we be expecting a descent correction in nifty 50?
Let us assumes yes. So what would you do?
