I wanna come to the desert one day. Been to lots of beautiful and interesting places, haven't been to the a desert. Now may be too late! Country all jacked up! Thanks Jeff.
There was gold in the area but, it is now a park and no digging or collecting is allowed. They were mining the area up until the forties. They found a vein of gold and started to mine when they hit a fault and were never able to find the vein again.
Nice hike...your 4-legged companion seems to be enjoying it too 🙂
Great video of the beautiful Sonoran Desert. Video was super clear & focused, good photography.
So jealous. Thanks for posting so those of us not in AZ can enjoy. 😀. 🌵
That was my playground when I was a kid back then. I use to ditch school to hike Saddle back mountain lol.

When will you make a video in vistancia, Peoria
Awww I miss that place. We went there many times with the dogs. Never got to see the 2 graves though.
The Sonoran Desert seems so lush and diverse compared to the Mojave.
Good stuff Jeff
Nuthin beats an Az sky.🤩
Is your buddy snake trained? To back off of they scent one?
Looks like Larryberto liked it :)
Yeah he had a run in with a staghorn cactus, still not sure he understands a cactus at this point.
Nice hike
Very nice
I think your buddy sounds thirsty. Good video
Sigfrank yeah I was trying to give him water along the way. He wasn’t really drinking
How can u hike in such heat? I’m moving in a few days I went there & hated the heat! I thought I was dying
Is there gold in the area that people can search for?

Are mountain bikes allowed on those trails?
Yes.
In the Australian bush, there are hostile plants that grab you and lock you in, if you're unfortunate and step onto one. Any such plants in Arizona?
No just the jumping cactus also, known as the teddy bear cactus or Cholla cactus.
@@stevemcglamery5368 thanks! That jumping cactus reminds me of one type of thistle in the Mediterranean. Only the cactus is much bigger.
Do you ever see tarentulas out on hikes?
Simon you see them more in the fall when they mate
@@monicaholm2575 where do you see them at though? Out on hikes? In the city?
I’ve only seen them on hikes. It’s really cool they don’t do anything with humans. They’re scared of us
@@monicaholm2575 yeah, I know they aren't harmful. I just have a really bad phobia. But who knows, maybe actually seeing a few may help me get over it
Have you ran into any snakes?
awesome channel I watch all your videos. Do you have a dm or email ? I am interested in 2 houses and maybe you could help me with some info .
