It is always great when we can connect to a scent, isn't it? from time to time, I smell something that triggers emotion and T-Habanero by Ranja J did that for me in the tobacco ball-park. Royal incense is exciting in a sense, but it is too chaotic; I cannot grasp the direction that should unify all the bits and pieces. Tabac Cafe is very good, but it wears too cloying on me: yet I own them both (because they were heavily discounted when I bought them). Great review as always...now looking forward to some of the female ones.....
Is T-Habanero a dark, heavy tobacco fragrance? Stuff like Naxos or Montabaco Intensivo are NOT tobacco scents for me, I need something harder and more characterful :)
@@SeldomlyOften Rest assured, it is hard enough to satisfy you. Nothing like Naxos, T habanero won't take you down. It is heavy and slightly animalic, but feels refined and elegant at the same time.

Great review of one of my favorites of all time! What is your opinion on Nishane Ani? I've been thinking of trying it, and just noticed it's also made by Cécile Zarokian. I'm curious to hear your thoughts!
@SeldomlyOften Interesting, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I have decants of Interlude 53, Tony Iommi, and Haltane coming in so I think I'll pass on this one for now. But it might be nice when I'm looking for something "easy".
Love this scent, still working through a sample. As I am not trying to be a true collector with a hundred bottles, buying scents like this is very difficult due to the lack of wearability. Trying to limit to 20 bottles. Is this more wearable or comparable to Terroni at all? Zerokian is overrated, she’s 1/3 from me with royal tobacco. Material and Ani were big misses for me especially Ani, don’t get the hype.
Hey, your approach is the best approach! This smells nothing like Terroni, that is a more bitter type of smoke with less sweetness. Yes, Zarokian is overrated, not everything she touches is gold. I like some of her stuff but Material, Ani and Tango were just "meh".
Perhaps consider buying a 10ml or 20ml decant from a decant site or from someone on an online frag group instead of a full bottle. There is no need to own, no nor shame in not owning, 50ml/100ml of every fragrance that appeals to you-especially with certain frags that, though highly appealing, may be difficult to wear regularly.
I beg to disagree just a tad bit if someone is jumping into Amouage for the first time reflections or reflections, man may just be the right choice I will also say, DIA amouage as a house requires a more refined or mature nose to appreciate their offerings so for someone that is just jumping into niche or just arm wash in general a lot of their offerings are strong, pungent inked, and requires a nose that can truly appreciate a nose that has been evolved and matured to a bit where it could really appreciate and enjoywhat this house has to offer
There is nothing wrong with going for the Reflection family! I just think it's sort of "wasted opportunity" to get to know the true depth of a house like Amouage. I know, a lot of their fragrances are not for everybody and that's totally ok. That was overly excited me trying to spread the Amouage gospel :)
@ I hear you, at first I was turned off by the house but as I got into niche more and my nose developed a bit more I grew to appreciate many of their offerings. Still navigating my way through some of them.
This did not click with me. All I smell is a fresh/wet branch being burned. Like sitting on a campfire and someone threw in a bunch of fresh branches. Bitter and too smoky. Might need more time to get used to it.
The only thing interesting about this fragrance is the daring part other than that’sdefinitely not a pleasant scent . Based on the reviews and accolade I wanted to really like but it is a pass for me
@ you right I was binge watching your videos and after hearing this fragrance on another videos I revisited my sample and it’s better than the first time I tried it and it was a year ago
Yeah I agree with you. It’s great from the artistic point of view, but so so strong and particular that I find it very hard for me to wear. I bought a bottle and regretting, wondering when will I ever wear this??😢
When dosing the sprays the wearability increases a lot. I’m very partial to this as it’s one of my favorite fragrances ever but I do think that getting to know Royal Tobacco with caution is crucial to being able to pull it off.

Very classy scent isnt it?
@@taher9358 it’s bold and exciting, classy is not necessarily the adjective I would choose though 😅
@ idk man I think its just one of then confidence boosting fragrance that brings out the inner classiness 😅
@ I think this can be classy in that way but I like the words bossy and manly more.
@@SeldomlyOften no doubt, it is a very manly scent
Well, some fragrances need some time to be understood. This one was an immediate click for me: sniff, pupils dilate, uncontrollable smile.
I wore this and my sister told me I smelled like a baked pinecone
@@rey4929 that’s a pretty awesome comment! Better that than “old ashtray”.
3:50 It also doesn’t hurt that Cécile is smoking hot.
😂😂
I guess that's part of the reason she is so popular.
The only thing interesting about this fragrance is the daring part other than that’sdefinitely not a pleasant scent . Based on the reviews and accolade I wanted to really like but it is a pass for me
@@Malick_ibn_dinar hey, not every fragrance is good for everyone! I don’t find this daring, just very exciting 😉
@ you right I was binge watching your videos and after hearing this fragrance on another videos I revisited my sample and it’s better than the first time I tried it and it was a year ago
Excellent fragrance, unfortunately imo very, i mean very limited wearability :(
Yeah I agree with you.
I will never buy this brand because I hate the bottles.
You'd be surprised to learn the scent sticks to to after you spray it, no need to wear the bottles.
@@andrei-cosmin.popa85 🤣
Hey, I get it, if I don't like the bottles of a brand I'll have a really hard time connecting. What don't you like about these?
