- Re-developed by Sarah Beeny, Rise Hall is a spectacular venue for events and weddings in East Riding, England. Daniel and Helen Gill purchased the building from Sarah in 2019 and now run the hall as an event space. Dine (owned by Daniel & Helen) recently invited me to attend an ambassadors dinner at Rise Hall, and to provide a touch of magic to the evening.

I am so sorry that Sarah Beeny and her husband Graham gave this up.
Same!!! Swift & Beeny definatly gave it all they could... took some great memories with their kids, left their mark on it (including the team of exrodinary crafts people and saved it from utter ruin!!! 💕

I’m very surprised that Sarah and Grant gave up their dream. I hope that they recouped a reasonable amount of their financial investment.
So disgusting that Sarah and Graham were given so much opposition to running functions etc and practically forced to sell so another owner could do exactly that ! Maybe the council knew the person / people who wanted to buy it so helped push them out ?
More than likely. Recently in NE US state $5 increase in property tax was sent out after the regular tax notices. Those who didn't pay the $5 (there were a few) thinking their property taxes were paid were foreclosed on. Guess who bought all those cabins at auction?
Sarah Beeny and her husband treated the place with more love, the new owners haven't restored a thing. The best they have to show is what they found already done. They will exploit the property and leave it in a worse state than what they found, as most people do in similar situations.

Awful taping, it’s so fast & unsteady that it’s makes you dizzy!! Wow! Sarah & Graham definitely did such an awesome job of refurbishing & rebuilding that incredible home!!!
I hope they’ve not regretted selling it! It provided a unique lifestyle to their family!!
The City Council were pretty stupid & nit-picky in not giving them the approval to run their wedding/revue business! And, what is it now??

I’m happy the front doors were polished/painted but really wish the rest of the front was power washed.
The patina should be embraced as power washing takes off a small layer of masonry with it. I see this each time I have to power wash my drive here in Florida due to the mold issues that require a wash and residue left with a an agent to impede mold. Like you, I love the clean look, but I love historical preservation more…
That thumping music is a real turn off...

@@ScottPerryMagic I think it's just that the music is not fitting or contributing to the feel. Like if you had drum n bass on a video about Canterbury cathedral. Wrong vibe
